how many google voice can you activate?

hello

I have run into this problem recently:
Over the years, I have created 20 gmail accounts and used my cell phone to phone verify them and create a google voice number for each account

Recently, when I tried to create a new gmail account, google told me that my cell phone had been used to many times to activate accounts. I was still able to get around it but each time I tried to create a google voice number for that account, I would get an error.

I tried creating a new gmail address with a fresh IP and a new cell phone number. It worked.

Do you know of a 'limit' on how many email/google voice one person can have? Are there any cases on this forum of google suspending all of your google accounts by Google?

thx
J.

There is a video on youtube that works like a charm on how to get around this.

Do a google voice workaround or something search.

Its been a long while since I watched it but it worked perfectly.

I have never had an issue with google and I create tons of them a week.

Sandy any chance you could point me towards that video? I'm not finding anything specifically related to working around the number limitations on Youtube. But then again I might be a little... slow?

Search for a youtube video about:
"skip google voice verification without cell phone" and "sign-up for google voice outside usa"

take what you need from the video you see.

Thanks john for the quick reply! Looking into it now.

I have had the same person in making too many accounts per day. It usually resets the next day.

With the techniques i found on youtube i by passed all limits.

My only worry long term is that google decide to close all linked google accounts for abuse. They may decide it is not normal to have 100 google accounts.

We are not there yet.

Thats why you spread the forwarding number around - you should not (and cant even because of GV policy) try to have 1 number with 100 GV associations

So my suggestion worked for you?

People are getting this mixed up in this thread.

1. How to bypass the google phone verification on a new gmail account.

Look at my suggestion on youtube and johns finding of that info to get help for this.

2. How many GV accounts can you have? Technically you can have 2 GV for each forwarding phone.

I get 2 per forwarding phone and sometimes get lucky and get a 3rd.

Sorry I did not see your question and see John found my suggestion and posted the info for you.

Did it work for you?

I followed John's advice and took a look at the videos. However after signing up for iptel.org, then ipkall, and finally flaphone, I added the number to my new Google account only to have GV tell me that they don't currently support call porting for that carrier. Am I doing something wrong? I got lucky and found 2 TracFones on sale at my local Rite Aid for $6 each. But would still like to figure out Google Voice!

Actually I was the one who put John onto the youtube video at the start of this thread and it has worked perfectly for me for a long while.

Now that you have the tracfones you can get at least two GV for each phone easily.

Sorry I meant to give you credit as well! It's just that john included the specific search terms when I otherwise would have been completely at a loss for what to search for. I'm feeling the cheap TracFone method at this time, seems a lot less hassle!
