No more google voice area codes in sf Bay Area?
 

Has anyone had any success getting an area code for the sf Bay Area? By that I mean 510, 415, 650 etc. there doesn't seem to be anymore! I was wondering if this was because google was able to track me and didn't allow me to have anymore. I even tried to change my MAC address and moved to opera browser to change IP, and still no area codes. I made one today with the last of the area codes and I could have sworn I saw more. I tried to create another one and that is when I didn't see anymore area codes. This has gotten me stumped. Just wanted to know if google wasn't targeting me specifically.

Only area codes I can find period is 530.

Yea. I had a difficult time finding any area codes. I just typed a 3 digit random number in the right box instead of searching for a city and I would get some number from a more obscure place, like Milwaukee or something.

Related to this, I am trying to get a number in the new york area, and am having no success. I dont understand what I am supposed to do if google voice is not giving me a single available number in my area.

I can't just choose any number from anywhere in the USA can I? Ebay will see the area code does not match the address I have on file and BOOM I'll be shut down, right?

nodeal, i have same problem in my state but try TEXT+ it worked for me with Ebay

thanks, I just got a new number with text plus, but is there a way to have multiple numbers on one text+ account? So I can use it when I open up more stealth accounts?

I have a suggestion, get the phone # first then open the stealth account with an address that matches the area code

How did you do this? TextPlus used to work great for me. Same with some Vonage app (can't remember name). But now it only lets me create an account with an email address, but no option to choose a number.

I used to be able to have a US or Canadian phone number and it was easy as pie

Desperate, I used an app called Hushed, bought a 7 day phone number for $2, got an automated call from PayPal, entered a code, hung up, checked PayPal and they said that according to public records or something, they couldn't match my number with the address and instead sent a letter in the mail with a code. (no access to that house, nor is it near me)
