Sometimea thia method works, try forgot password, then answer using email or security question, or wait foe a month paypal may not asking mobile number again

I know it's been a while, but I've heard that some users had successfully received verification codes via free Android apps like text+ and Google Voice; but it can be hit or miss depending on the service you're trying to verify. Some apps may not be recognized as a valid phone numbers by certain services. It's always a good idea to double-check the requirements of the service you're trying to use and ensure that your app is compatible. Or try an alternative, like a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ phone number for verification. Less time to get a SIM than check these app and make sure the numbers are not reused

It's always going to be a lot easier to use a SIM. No way of knowing if numbers are being reissued so don't risk an account with it
