TRACFONE not working heres a fix
 

hi all. i see some people are having problems with there TRACFONE. here is how to fix the phone when it does not work.

1. when you set up your phone for the first time . they tell you to turn it off then on again did that and no luck. what you have to do is a hard unplug take out the battery and sim card put it back in then in about 10 mins or so it showed work.

2. make a test call and a test txt. here is how not to use any of your mins when you are txting or calling.

3. get a working phone make send your TRACFONE a txt BUT DON'T OPEN IT. and you will not get the 30 cent fee :}

4. get a working phone and make a call DONT PICK IT UP .

5. notes for paypal . i just added my new TRACFONE cell number to paypal and i was on a old paypal sever . i did not have the option for them to call me but everything worked fine they sent me a 6 number code all you do is add it then make your 4 to 8 pin code your done.

everything with my paypal acc is at 100% im just waiting to lift the 500. i hate this part it take 3 days for them to put the money in my acc ;[.

MAKE SURE WHEN YOU MAKE YOUR PAYPAL ACC ALL THE INFO MATCHES LIKE ZIPCODES AND GIFT CARD ZIPCODES AND CELL ZIPCODES . OTHER WISE YOU MIGHT HIT A WALL. ALSO GIVE TRACFONE YOUR PHAKE NAME / STEALTH NAME IF YOUR STEALTH ZIPCODE IS 12345 MAKE EVERYTHING THE SAME

Thanks for the info! I had a question if I use a tracfone for an account and im done with the verification do i keep the phone after the 60 day expiration or should i keep it active?

you definitely want to have access to the number on the account

Hold that number, they are really making that number important to hold on to , for paypal security,

If you want to add a new bank account 3 months down the line they will want to call that number and u will need to plug a code in an automated system and than the bank will be added

And if u don't have access to the number , it's hard to get around, I don't. Know any work around yet

I think I would go with Tracfone option rather than Tollfreeforwarding

Here is how I understand the whole process

- Buy a cheap Tracfone
- Buy a cheap phone card ( I only need the phone for Paypal and ebay)
- Activate the Phone and add the mins from the phone card
- Verify the Paypal account with the phone number

My question is
- For most of phone card, the mins will expires 90 days from the day you add mins. When do we have to add more mins to keep the line active?
- If the mins expires after 90 days and we do not add more mins, will we loose the number or we still can add more mins whenever we need to use the phone again?

I think you need to add minutes before it reaches its 90th day to keep the number. Tracfone is the cheapest way for stealth verification everytime i get 0/$0 limit i dont have to buy a new phone, i only change its number by calling them, and in less than 5 mins i get a new number. :)

Maybe more than that because it was my third time changing its number yesterday. first time i got the phone and activated theres already someone calling it and texted me "faggeet" so i changed the number right away. Second and third time was because of the 0/$0 limit. ��

Be aware they might stop letting chnage numbers that if you overdo this.

Sometimes it might be seen as abuse.

The call center for tracfone is in central america and they dont seem to care too much but I believe the policy is twice but could possibly be more with some persuasion

to get a new number as many times as you want you have to tell them that you are being stocked by a person and the keep calling you. and by law they have to give you a new number sometimes they will have to mail you a sim card.

By law? Show me that law please! You are saying a tel company has to give you as many number changes you want because you said you are being stalked, lol I would love to see that law or even better please record that call and upload the file here.

On the same phone? How many times and how often have you changed the number on 1 tracfone?

but it is a lot faster to just spend the 5 bucks for a new phone then to be on hold for an hour or more lol

Oh yeah that is doable but definitely not normal or an expected result

I usually do 10 at a time I tell them my employees had an issue with a non employee and we need new numbers usually works
