I made a paypal with all stealth info eccpt the phone and now when i need to send it a security code i get: This number doesn’t appear to be registered in your name. Please try again.

Just clarify a few things please.

How old is the account? Did the account ever have a phone number attached?

If not, why not?

What else happened?

This problem keeps occurring for many members and there's an easy solution

When You create an account You need a number that will last, you cannot add a number and than add a new one the moment they need to verify you , it just would defeat the I tire purpose of this security measure.

This is happening because your account appears to be faulty and a threat to paypal's security.

Could you try to reply to my questions too.

I added the info when i started
it was originaly the name does not match the phone,

You get only a couple tries before that number can no longer be used to verify the account

Did you or did you not attach a phone at account creation?

There is no lending involved - get the stealth guide and create proper accounts...don't take shortcuts.

Hi, im confused about the name and the phone number should match? I'm going to create my first stealth account tomorrow so i'm lookig for the easiest way to bypass the phone verification without having to buy a gsm phone.

Yep rsot, i found one at radioshack for $10, but i'm planning to make 2-3 stealth accounts, is it possible to buy 3 sim cards for 1 tracfone?

Yes new extra sim cards on ebay. Tracfones use sim cards that tie to that phone. So to change number you need a new one. Works the same on straight talk. Tracfone owns almost every prepaid service.

yesterday I grabbed 20 phones at office max for 4.99 each and triple the minutes for the life of the phone

I also grabbed 4 samsung blackberries for $10 each, I may keep one sell the other two

So how do you get the new number when you put in the new sim card? How do we know the "new" number hasn't been recycled?

Just like with any phone it's a new number. Any number can be recycled but it's the only way to change it. Like cdma phones sprint and verizon you don't need anything to change that number because it's tied to the esn of the phone different than tied to the phone. Paid number less likely burned vs free numbers.

ok I may go this route. Going out and buying all these tracfones to make new accounts is going to get old fast. I cant see how I can possibly manage more than 10 at a time. Sim cards can easily be stored in my files with my index cards.

SIM cards are nice, but sometimes they have these nice deals like 4.99 per phone and for the life of the phone u get triple the minutes , so If I purchase 60 min I get 180 min added, I haven't purchased a tracphone SIM card yet but I just purchased a verizon new sim from eBay and it was $9.00 so so one sim is 2 phones plus triple the minutes when u find a good deal

To change your phone number on the tracfone requires a new sim card. 99 cents.

No matter what I do I can not get access to my money. It is frustrating. These are old accounts with money that has been sitting in them. Trying to buy an item online, every time I get an error message telling me I need to verify my phone and I can't because the phone number is not registered in my name. Even if I buy a tracfone and register the account under the stealth name, same issue.

Can someone please help me access my money so I can get my paypal $$ out.

There is no cure if you dont have access to the number when you created the account, you cant add a number later. You need to call in and wiggle the best you can but hope is not very high.

This is why you SHOULD have a WORKING phone number you have ACCESS too, otherwise your just wasting your time.

I am trying to verify a US PP account without having to buy a SIM card, did anyone tried using Plivo or Nexmo for PayPal phone verification? Which services do you suggest?

Hey, why don't you request a check??
i am trying in that way, i actually have so much money in the paypal, one has $6700, I got the same issue as you, they held the money for 45 days, and telling me by email, i can withdraw my money, but when i tried to withdraw, it asked me to verify by phone :(:(

This is the type of advice that can get someone into trouble, for all newbies...please ignore this as good advice. Doesn't make sense to request a Check in a name that isn't yours, if someone tries to cash a check in someone else's name....that's called Identity Theft.

This is what's called "poor planning", next time you open a Stealth Account....be sure to have a valid method for getting your funds out.

You can add the number later, you just have to give paypal time to update
their system so that you can verify with that number, its usually 24 hrs.

i'm assuming most of are verify phone when you try to add bank?

and google voice works fine, so does vzpp

Unless the new number is in Public records with your stealth name and address than it usually doesn't work when they need to verify you thru your number

It's important to have the number used when registering your paypal account, this seems to be the best option.

It's either a number that matches public records, and with stealth that's usually not an option or the number used when registering

HI there, I've had my stealth account for two years and it's working great. I received a notice from ebay when I logged in this morning, prompting me to verify my phone number to keep records current. I skipped the option, but am concerned I will have to do this at some point. It also gave me the option to click "Don't have a phone". Please advise. Thank you! :)
