I bought about 10 at amazon for 9.99 each free shipping a few months ago. They last a year but it's not listed that way, with 20 minutes on them.

sucks because on tracfone website they had them for $5 and you could buy up to 6 per address. Looking out periodically for this sale to be listed back on their site.

tracfone has strict limits on selling their phones per customer. I hope they would be willing to issue such a number of phones to a registered business. They need to know their phones are used for some shady activities.

I hope you don't actually think 500 is a lot. That's basically fractions of a penny to someone like Trac. They are the number one prepaid service in the USA and owned by a billionaire.

Wal-Mart and Best Buy will order these by the hundreds of thousands to millions.

Volume selling is not for small timers.

also how is it they only last a year? do your minutes expire after a year from activation? or can you re up minutes?

can someone explain exactly how these throw away trac phones work?

my worry is, lets say I use it to build up a solid account, will I need a whole new phone after a year with new number? or can I keep the number and just reup the minutes? I would hate to change the number once a year

i use the phone for a one time use thats it ebay or paypal never called me i have my acc up and still runing for about 3 years . hope it helps.

minutes expire in 60 days when they give you 10 free mins of air time.

what do you mean by they last a year, I bought some cheap ones from their web site last year, just tried to activate one a couple weeks ago, bad sim, tried another, same thing.......do you have to activate them within a year of purchase? If so, then no sense in buying a bunch at once unless I know I am going to be using them soon......thanks in advance...

My local Dollar Sto.re has them most usually for $5 each and it's the double minutes for life kind. They are sold out right now so off to CVS. Thanks!

setting these up suck. the automated phone setup was annoying and kept messing up.

spoke to a tracphone cus service rep had it setup in like 2 mins.

nice phone and u cant beat the price!! glad i bought many

How do they track it's same customer? On website they say "you can't purchase more than 6 unless you activated the previous ones". What if I do activate thrm before purchasing next ones?
Also when they track it, they probably track it by delivery address. I have a doorman and each day couriers just drop-off everything they have for particular building (have 1 doorman for 3 circle-located buildings). So if for example I put my building and unexisting apt and tell doorman to hold it for me. Think it might work. Also probably they track it by Ip as well when ordering I think, but that's not a problem. I could even pay with wasted vanilla for 4 phones.
