i was sold a phone verified ebay account now bing asked to verify ?
 

hey guys i purchased a ebay account and listed my first second hand item yesterday and it is asking me to veryify my phone number either by text or voice

the seller sold me it as fully verifyed paypal iv had no issues with but i just tryed to use my sellers account for the first time n get the verify message

im in uk any ideas ?

You should contact the seller, they can most likely help you.

My guess is that it is eBay that now wants to verify?

i have contacted seller and he will look at it today but i was sold the account that both eba and paypal was both phone verifyed so im hoping he just forgot

What you got can happen when you try and list on new accounts, If it is when you go to list an item before it will list you need to enter a 4 digit code and u can receive by text or call, than this will happen for sometimes the first month every time you list

If you are listing 10 items at once , it will ask you to enter the code on the first item and usually won't ask on the rest of the session

But I have had to do this quite a bit on newer accounts lately every-time Id go and list for the first 2 months

No big deal if u have access to the number used to create the account

And phone verified is something totally different from this security measure

Just wait for the account seller to reach out before making any moves, maybe they have access to the number still or will advise you to do something else

It would be best in the future to talk directly with the seller than instead of making a entire thread about it. The only person who can help is the account seller. We cant really do anything about it.

A fully verified PayPal does not mean that the eBay account is also phone verified.

Contact the seller and they may be able to help you

This happened to me the other day from an account I bought but the seller was a high rated one from here and he sorted it out at once for me. You get what you pay for I suppose, stick to high rated sellers who know what they are doing. I am going to change my eBay number to a new one so I can access it when I need to. Not sure how to do it yet though as I cant see any options on the account.
