| | | Dmshark25 | 12-11-2014 05:52 AM | TracacFones for $.01 cent I was just browsing online and was on TracFone.com and I just Purchased 6 Samsung phones for $ .06 with either double or triple the minutes for life I forget now.
With fedEx 3 day shipping the total came to $5.30 for all 6
I kept waiting for some other charge to come up like you needed to purchase a $40 refill card with each phone but they were really .01 cent each, the most you could get was 6 |

| Dmshark25 | 12-12-2014 02:24 AM | Re: TracacFones for $.01 cent When you go to purchase them it says that if u recently made a,purchase and have not activated all the phones than you may be denied the sale, so I guess if u buy 6 and try again for another with the same address without activating them they can deny you whether they do or not is another thing.
But 6 is plenty, I'm always grabbing them when I see a sale and always have extras plus I still use Apps also
I also grabbed a net 10 Samsung phone for free, it was a 3.5 inch touch screen , nice little phone , and the deal is with the purchase of an unlimited monthly plan get a free phone, so I needed a $40 plan anyway for another phone I have and received the free one , plus it was overnight free shipping so I got it the next day |

| Dmshark25 | 12-13-2014 10:33 PM | Re: TracacFones for $.01 cent I got my order in today, nicer phones than I thought also when u activate the phone you get 20 minutes free and 60 days which is great, you get that without having to pay for any minutes |
| sln531 | 12-13-2014 11:01 PM | Re: TracacFones for $.01 cent Yes it doesn't look like the sales going anymore |
| Pnw507 | 12-14-2014 10:58 PM | Re: TracacFones for $.01 cent Is there any sales ever for minutes? I have about 25 phones that the mites are up very soon. Was wondering the best (cheapest) way to keep them active. I think the family plan is around $6 a month which seems to be the best deal?
I was also thinking of just buying new phones and changing numbers every 60 days but I would think that might throw a red flag with Ebay? |

Yeah I suggest keeping the same number you used for opening the account as long as the account is active. I'm also looking at the same thing, cheapest way to keep them active, will check out the family plan and see if there is any other plans worthwhile. The key is extending the active period as long as possible, not necessarily many minutes.
Hopefully other members come and have some ideas |
| Dmshark25 | 12-14-2014 11:30 PM | Re: TracacFones for $.01 cent One of the sales they have that is just online is get 400minutes for $99.99 it's $15 off the price,at,stores
So for $99.99 your good for the year, 400 minutes is more than enough, you really just need the minutes if eBay/paypal ever call which is almost never and if they do it's usually an automated message , and to receive the confirmation texts
If you ever need to call in there are Apps that you can use that will take the number of the phone like Vonage, you sign up receive a confirmation text to you cell and now you can use your tablet or smartphone as a phone and Vonage is all free and you will have the same number as your cell |

The issue with that plan is if the associated account goes down that number is worthless and the plan too, I've heard you can change the number at least once is that the way to go if that happens, how many times can it be changed? |
| Dmshark25 | 12-14-2014 11:46 PM | Re: TracacFones for $.01 cent No the phone is good it takes two minutes to change the number I just changed the numbers on 2 phones an hour ago
You just call in and it's all automated , you hang up dial *2290 or something like that the phone resets and your number changes and the minutes and time are the same as with the previous number
U can change 4 times a year |

Perfect then! Hadn't tried so didn't know. Thanks! |
| Dmshark25 | 12-14-2014 11:54 PM | Re: TracacFones for $.01 cent Dial 1800-867-7183 and just pick the option that says change phone number , u just need to enter the phone number that the phone currently has and the last 4 digits of the serial number if you call from a different phone which I did, and that info is easily accessed from the prepaid icon under all the tracFONES menues
After you hang up wait 5 minutes than dial *22XX not sure the exact and it reprogramd the phone turns it off than on, once it's on make one call and it resets your phone and the number is changed |
| ricketty | 12-15-2014 03:49 PM | Re: TracacFones for $.01 cent A couple of other options for these:
You can activate a new phone every 60 days and transfer the number from the expiring phone to the new phone... you'll keep your number and any unused minutes plus get the new minutes from the newly activated phone. Over a years time, this would come to about $30 ($5 for a new phone 6 times per year... $5 tracfones are becoming pretty common anymore). Obviously, this would become very labor intensive with more than a few stealths.
Also, you can find sellers on ebay with phones that come with a one-yr activation. I forget the price but seem to recall it being somewhere around $45 or $50. Unfortunately, they have buyer quantity limits in place on the auctions I've come across... another benefit to stealths! |
| john007 | 12-15-2014 04:45 PM | Re: TracacFones for $.01 cent I'm pretty sure Tracfone is like "wtf is going on with our sales"? |
| trosky | 12-15-2014 06:22 PM | Re: TracacFones for $.01 cent I checked and the family plans are not bad, $9.99/month for 50 min for first phone, $5.99/month 40 min for all other extra ones, so $6/month is great and at least for me 40 min is more than enough enough. Great for us with a bunch of accounts |
| Sooner | 12-15-2014 09:52 PM | Re: TracacFones for $.01 cent Holy fast shipping, Batman!! I ordered 6 phones on Friday and they arrived today via FedEx. Thanks again Dmshark25 for the heads up on this great sale. :cheer: |
