TracFone LG 440G
 

Anybody try this Tracphone? They have them on sale at Kmart for $7.99 so I might go down and buy a few today.

Do they work okay with Paypal/ebay verification?

They work great, use them all the time. But you can usually get them even cheaper, just gotta look around and keep your eyes open for when they go on sale.

they work good, but can usually get em for 5 bucks but 8 is a pretty good too should get em

yeah, I saw the $5 tracphone at Target thread but they are $14.99 at all the Targets around me right now.

Ended up buying one today at $7.99. Are you able to use Google Voice with it to create even more numbers?

I just brought my TracFone LG 440G mobile. When I added Paypal mobile #, I'm not able to get confirmation code on my mobile.. I have test my other cell to sent text for testing which is working fine. Any idea

Pop off the back and remove the battery. Look at the SIM card. Is it white with BLUE printing, or white with BLACK printing?

That is strange because usually the ones with the black printing work just fine. But TracFone uses a few different networks and whether or not it will work depends on what network you are on. SilentHill has a solution for this, here is a link to the thread:

oh wow, it seem most of them has problem with TracFone.. Yes, I have brought ebay acct from SilentHill. The TracFone he gave me was working fine.

I have been buying dozens and dozens of TracFones of the LG 440G and all of them had black and white sims cards and worked perfectly for Ebay and Paypal phone verification.

However I just bought the last one they had at Dollar General the other day and it had a blue and white sim card on it and it did not work for Paypal's phone verification.

Is anyone starting to run into problems when purchasing the LG 440G and getting the blue and white sim card?

This was the very first blue and white sim card I have ever received from the LG 440G after buying tons and tons of them with black and white sim cards.

Blue and White Sims sometimes won't work......I believe those are on a different network.

I just want to let you all know that I have purchased 4 more TracFones that were the LG 440G and all of them had a blue and white sim card inside them.

Buying the LG 440G Tracfone with a black and white sim card is sadly becoming a thing of the past.

These days most of the TracFone LG 440's have the blue and white SIM cards and they don't work for the PayPal phone verification. Same thing with the Samsung S150G. Before you use them, check the SIM cards. SOME OF THEM do have the black printing, but most that I have seen are blue.

The LG305C phones work (they do not have a SIM card) and the LC306G phones USUALLY have the SIM cards with black printing.

I believe the difference in the SIM cards is related to which NETWORK the TracFones are using. TracFone buys services from other networks, they don't actually have their own networks.

I add the paypal number as home phone and don't worry about verifying it. Paypal seems to not care in the least or so it seems.

Are you guys having issues from not verifying paypal cell phone numbers?

$5 tracfones at bestbuy most expensive part is buying minutes....you can order online i just picked up a bunch in store tho
