Tracfone will not change phone numbers
 

so i tried changing phone numbers on 4 new tracfones that had numbers with dead accounts and none of them are changing...anyone facing the same issue?

Yeah I had the same problem today, might be a network issue or there putting an end to changing numbers, hopefully not

this really sucks, preventing me from posting on new accounts...i hope it gets back to normal..please keep me posted! apparently my tracfone(s) (the ones i tried changing number on are now "unregistered sim" and have call restriction-34. please keep me updated on your end as well!

keep the same area code. I've noticed when calling to switch phone number if you change area code you have to speak to a operator.

yes n when you try to change area codes they say they have to mail u a new sim. but they can change with same area code

I would thank you, but this isnt the issue...if you change the phone number with the same area code you get call restriction 34 and unregistered sim...so you are wrong lol.

alright bro but keep in mind you cannot change it more than 3 times per phone.

That is also wrong, i bought 3 new phones and activiated them no issues. I tried changing phone number and same issue. Also, i have changed tracfone numbers about 30+ times last month so i am not sure where you got that number.

I am also having problems changing phone numbers. My phones now shows UNREGISTERED SIM and not working. I called them but they seem to be oblivious of what is going on with their system. I was told to wait 24hrs. because calling them again. I will call them again tomorrow for updates. I will update forum when I get any good news.

yeah i just bought 3 more tracfones at 4.99 per and i am going to play around and see what i can do.

you know what your actually right recently I switched two phone numbers and they stayed unregistered. I had to go out and buy 2 new ones. I've had it happened before. but didnt know this was a ongoing issue.
