eBay Phone verification w/ app previously installed

I am in the process of creating my second stealth account and I want to use my wifes phone for the verification process. She used to have the ebay app installed on her phone when we changed our numbers and the app was deleted after the number change. My question being is will this work for verification or should I get a $5-10 dollar burner phone for verification if her current number is burned? Thanks for the great resource here I should have joined years ago.

If the number has NOT been on eBay or PayPal, then you're able to use that number whether or not the app was on the phone.
