Simple Mobile VS Tracfone
 

Ok, so I opened a few accts with simple mobile since the recent tracfone hiking of the price. I got 2 10/1000 accts, and 5/500 accts. Anyone else have anymore experience with simple mobile? Is tracfones still better?

In my experience any carrier works well, tracfone has been popular because of the good price. Now it has changed but you would be able to get 20min/60dAys and a phone for $4.99 or cheaper

First it was VOIP, like GOOGLE VOICE , text plus, etc... Than once they were burned out the next cost effective method was the tracfone

Hmmm, have u got less starting limits using a Verizon ip? This is what I did differently. My last 2 simple mobile gave me 10/1000 which can be normal for tracfone as well, maybe the 4th or 5th try I would have gotten higher limits. But I know for sure that I did open with a Verizon ip this time.

How much are you paying for the Simple Mobile phones, do they come with minutes and let you change number by chance?

I wouldn't write off Simple Mobile too quickly. ANY provider can recycle numbers. I paid $10 to activate a Tracfone and used a fresh IP and all of my other things were in place and I got limits of 0/0.

I have not tried Simple Mobile. But I would imagine it depends on what carrier they use and how they recycle their numbers.

All in all this is NOT the end of the world. It is just raising the cost of stealth a bit.

One thing I have found with Tracfones that may help people in the future.

When changing your number, the LG 305c models go through right away on Tracfone's website. Then you dial *22890 and the number changes. I have changed one phone 3 or 4 times and it still went right through.

When I tried the LG 306g, it always tells me it cannot change the number and to call customer service.

The difference between the phones is that the 305c has no SIM card and uses the Verizon network. The 306g has SIM cards and you do not dial anything to activate the phone or change the number, it just says to turn it off and on. I'm not sure what network they use.

I hate calling their customer service number. People say it isn't so bad, but every time I have had to call them, I am on hold for 45 minutes. It is a total waste of my time.

I'm paying about 6 bucks with 1 month included, unlimited voice. You think it's a bad quality number?

I believe simple mobile is a T-Mobile MVNO. I would assume the numbers are high quality.
