How long does it take for phone number to show up?
 

To put simply,
How long does it take for a brand new phone number to get hooked up to your paypal account so you can withdraw using it, in case you are asked to type in verification code??
My new phone number doesn't show up yet.

It might never show up.
Paypal are always looking for the original phone number the account was created with.

What if some unlucky bloke just lost access to his original number?(don't you think rep bitches at paypal office can help us out!? LOL)

Your only option is calling them, but I don't know if that will help anything.

In my experience you can add all the phone numbers you want to your paypal account. It will even let you "confirm" them by sending the new phones text messages with verification codes. But when you go to add a bank account (or any other action that takes you to the verification page), Paypal is going to want to text/call the original phone number on file for the account. It sucks but I understand why they do it. If they didn't insist on the original number, anyone could add a new phone number to a stolen Paypal account and steal the balance by adding a new bank account.

A friend once said he was able to confirm his new num once it lied down there for a month.

It's worth a shot. I've been trying to add a bank account to one of my established Paypals for a month and a half now. I added and confirmed a new phone number the first day. A month and a half later I still haven't been able to text/call the new number.

It's never going to show. I'm stating that as a fact until someone can prove me wrong, because I've never seen evidence of anything otherwise. The ONLY thing I've heard of to actually work is to call Paypal and get them to help you bypass the verification page.

That could be an option, but if you're using stealth account you might eventually end up getting your account limited.
