Best Free Apps For Reciveing Text
 

Hi I'm looking for a app that gives me a phone number which people can call or txt it and it goes to my phone! I'm needing one for my sales on craigslist so I don't have to put out my real #. I found a few good apps but they always give me off the wall #'s which looks bad for local sales. I need one that gives me a # in my area code which people can txt me at that's the main thing. any suggestions?

so far I found txt4free and one called call mask but it cost money to use it. I found a few others but the area codes are way off and I cant pick the area code it just makes up one.

Why not just use Google Voice? its free

Why not go for the one that costs money? Free ones tend to be abused...

I just need one for craigslist not to make a account just something that people can text and it will notify me on my phone but with out me having to give them my personal #. Last time I put it on CL I had a some nut use it and make a bunch of gay adds and people was calling and texting me so I no not to give out my real number again.

Hi i got google voice but still doesnt do what i want it to. It gave me a new number and i put in my real number and its supposed to foward everything to me when i call the number they gave me but doesnt work. I txt the number they gave me but it doent go off on my phone it just sends like a email showing i got a text i need it to notify me on my phone when i get a new text or call
