Snagga 02-19-2009 09:28 PM

cool site. anyone use this?

aking 02-19-2009 11:32 PM

oh man, that is pretty sweet

Jonas 02-20-2009 01:41 AM

Looks pretty good except for that the numbers need extensions.

simogold 02-20-2009 06:45 AM

with the extension, it will not work with Ebay.

aspkin 02-20-2009 08:40 AM

Vumber still works fine for me..

siashay 02-20-2009 09:39 AM

You never ever want to do this unless it is a "throw away account" You don't want to be six months into a ebay/paypal account and get limited and have no number for them to call you because "the number expired" trac phones are $10, I have like 10 of them laying around my house each with a different colored sticker on it so I know what account which phone belongs too. This way if ebay or paypal call now or a year from now, I can take that call.

SevnSins 02-20-2009 09:48 AM

I use at&t prepaid phones, and the time expires after 90 days if not used. Do trac phone minutes expire, if not use within a certain time period?

siashay 02-20-2009 09:54 AM

They do if you don't buy more minutes by a certain date. I think it's like 3 months or something. But after the first three months u r all set.

excellent point

wookster 02-23-2009 12:03 PM

There r better alternatives.

Siashay "I have like 10 of them laying around my house each with a different colored sticker on it so I know what account which phone belongs too"

I love this, so funny. Great idea! If i did this thou my kids would have 100 million q's as to why or they would be switching the stickers on them trying to be a "help"

siashay 02-23-2009 12:48 PM

trust me my kids got a hold of a few. But they know the deal, If I lose an account and don't need the phone then it is theirs. My son is a little older and has his own phone. So my daughter gets the pre paid ones and she call me, my son and the rest of my family 100 times a day until the minutes run out. LOL

doughboykilla 03-03-2009 05:50 PM

yeah tarc phones is not a good option cause u have to keep reloading mins on them every 3 months just so they will stay activated.

My post are unique it helps fool ebay/paypal spys cause even the people who help the most here could very well be a paypal/ebay shill. A woof in sheeps clothing and what a better way to stay under the radar by begin a good citizen to the fourm.

S'OK. I speak Woof.;)

I think inumber.com can be useful in situations like PayPal when you open Premiere or Business account. PayPal will ask you for personal + business phone number. I have my "track" phone for this new account I registered with Ebay and PayPal,so if they ever call me, the phone is here. I will use this Inumber just to satisfy PP requirement. Besides, it would be surprise that business number would have extension. If they (PayPal)try to call it after a while anyway, I can always say I am different business number now and give them new Inumber. MyIOnU, thanks....This saved me 15 bucks or so not having to buy another phone!

doughboykilla 03-04-2009 10:08 PM

Yeah i think inumber will work for ebay as well i will just have to play around with it but it will probly only be a matter of time before ebay/paypal finds out about inumber and they will block the ebay #

Burst 03-05-2009 06:07 AM

Just throwing this in. It seems like were all guessing if it will work.

I tried it three different times. You cannot catch it fast enough to work with ebay. Atleast my attempts proved that.

Well that sucks

Lyda 03-08-2009 02:20 PM

How about using it only for PayPal requiring that second business phone number? Ebay asks for only one phone number, right? Well, that one I already have with Ebay and PayPal as primary or home number...........I just need second number for PP.

Lyda 03-08-2009 02:32 PM

Tried to get inumbr for my second PP phone, but they are very limited in area codes you can get and I couldn't get mine... So, this is not working for me.

aquariusvc 03-09-2009 05:11 AM

not working for me :( try to find new ways :)

Burst 03-11-2009 04:50 PM

Off topic, the same day vumber went down, two cell phones were left at my work. I tested one, it was cancelled. So I tried the other and it worked to verify an ebay account. Not bad! ;)

Jonas 05-16-2009 02:23 PM

Completely horrible and worthless.

First, their website rarely responds and one must hammer it to get it to respond.

Second, their phone numbers all have call screening forced on, no matter what options are selected. So eBay's automated system would have to leave a message, hit pound, then wait a minute while the call is screened, and so eBay's calling system doesn't work through this at all one bit.
