Using a phone number from freetone or whatsapp

do these online numbers work for ebay and paypal you can even choose the area code seems like it would work like a charm. Any experience?

Ebay can detect if a phone number is "real" or VOIP. If you create a new Ebay account with a VOIP number, you definitely will get 0/0 limits.

whatsapp is an app which is linked to your real phone number. It's not a way to get a new phone number. It's primarily used by people communicating across borders who are looking to avoid expensive international calling/texting rates.

Just putting that out there.

Anyway to answer your question, don't ever start an account with a Google voice (or any other type of number obtained online) number. Always use a real phone at first and then add a virtual number later if needed.

thank you so basically the phone apps arent actually of any use, freetone or other wifi calling services

This is not suggested but you can use some voip apps to start accounts ... I have got 5/500 with them...nothing better
