Shipping From UK to Germany

hello, i have a customer and he want to purchase a lot of goods from me however i am not VAT registered but the customer is VAT registered. can i ship to him without any issue regarding the VAT? i am in the UK and customer is based in Germany.

I am pretty sure all that matters is their VAT status (I could be incorrect on this though)
