Default Ems or dhl

Having discussion with hk supplier, they claim ems is both cheaper and faster delivery than DHL. I do not believe this

EMS is cheaper but it isn't faster.

DHL is by far the fastest courier from HK to UK.

DHL would probably take 5-6 days. Usually closer to 2-3 days but this time of year they're extremely backed up in HK. It's taking upwards of a week for some of our shipments to be accepted by DHL.

Maybe that's why your guy is saying EMS would be faster this time of year.

Go with DHL if your cost is the same either way. EMS is terrible.

This time of year, i'd stick to DHL. Even though it might be slower than usual, you'll at least receive it in an acceptable period of time.

EMS is unpredictable, more so this time of year than any other.

DHL is too busy. They'll start processing DHL again after Christmas.

All of our stuff is still shipping DHL but delays recently have been worse than when USA DHL pilots went on strike last year. It takes 7-10 days for a tracking number to start updating because stuff is sitting in DHL warehouses for a week before going on a plane. One of our suppliers has been using Taiwan DHL instead of HK. Maybe you can ask about that?

They get super flooded this time of year. If you are a high roller and been with supplier for some time you might get some priority with courier. Its all about the courier. lol

I have been with same guy since 2008, almost 10yrs, so they know I am not only a fly-by holiday seller. I give them business when its slow in the summer.
