DHL - Shipment on hold
 

My shipment has been on hold for 2 days, and it says awaiting delivery cycle.

I am not sure, as usually it'll be released to the delivery next day. The shipment is small size, non-branded non-VERO items. I don't understand whats up.


Any clues?

It's (most likely) just waiting to go on a plane. The weather last week has all kinds of shipments acting strangely this week.

If this were a customs seizure it would say "Shipment on Hold - Contact DHL". (or whatever courier you use)

Received my package today. It was full of green tape, and the invoice was removed from the box and put inside. It appears that they never really went through the items yet I could be mistaken.

I don't know why it was inspected, as there wasn't anything remotely shady. And what amazes me, is that it was a really small box. I had large shipments before and they were never inspected, idk what this could mean.

Any insights?

None whatsoever.

Maybe they saw something weird on X-ray, maybe they thought the customs form was inaccurate, maybe they thought the small foreign shipment was suspicious because that's how lots of drugs come in. Only the customs people know. At least they didn't take forever to release your package.

Yes, that's true. It appears that they just took off the invoice and put it back inside, and resealed the package. Maybe it was also the fact that the package was heavy and small that grabbed attention.

Regardless, I am happy that the seller's invoice was 100% accurate about the items quantity and prices, and the items themselves were fully legitimate.

No, I wasn't happy about the price and quality this time. I will most likely start sourcing domestically from now on.
