DHL package on hold after several customs updates
 

I have a package that was placed on hold this morning. I contacted DHL and they said it was a technical issue, like a problem with the plane it was supposed to be on, or missing the plane or something of that nature, and not a customs issue, but, I also have several DHL update emails from throughout the night. The tracking history is below, and it doesn't specifically say that it has cleared customs just that the customs status was updated?

The first email on customs said there was a clearance delay and they would contact the importer or shipper,

the next update 3 hours later says this "Further Details - A clearance other than standard Customs entry is required for this shipment.
Next Steps - Further processing will occur as instructed by the regulatory authority. A DHL representative shall attempt to contact the importer or shipper if further information is required "

The next, a half hour after that last says "Customs Entry Submitted"
and the last one an hour after the last says "Customs status updated"
Then I got the exception notice saying it is on hold due to a technical issue. Should I be worried? It's a pair of glasses from Firmoo.com

It also now just updated to
11 Clearance processing complete at CINCINNATI HUB - USA

does that mean it has now cleared Customs?
The delivery date is still listed as today, although I really doubt that is accurate.

I don't think you should be worried. 90% chance that was happened is the shipment got held up while DHL contacted the shipper, so it missed the plane it was scheduled to go out on. If you click "further details" where it says "customs status updated", the DHL website will tell you the shipment has been given a release by customs and will proceed to delivery unless subjected to an ad hoc examination.

I frequently see "shipment on hold" because either a DHL plane was too full or because the shipment arrived too late to go out on it's scheduled plane. It's only something to worry about when it says "shipment on hold - please contact DHL", because that usually means the shipment has been selected for a thorough customs inspection.

I think the DHL representative you spoke on the phone with was being straightforward with you.

Yeah, your 2nd post confirms the shipment missed its plane.

You'll get it on Tuesday since Monday is a holiday.

Well my package arrived today safe and sound. No sign of a customs check on it. Makes me wonder what all the customs updates were about? Only think I can think is they have a value of $10 USD on, maybe they thought that was too low so they needed to look into it? I paid more than that, but not all that much, and actually this pair I paid nothing for because the first pair was scratched. who knows!

I have a package with dhl but it keep saying Clearance event and later changes to process clearance for this,can anyone tell me what's going on ?

CUSTOMS STATUS UPDATED means concerned customs has been updated,But physical arrival has not happened yet.
