Shipment on hold should i be worried
 

I've got a package coming from china it arrived at Hong Kong and was processed everything seemed to be fine and i was expecting tracking to change to departed however it has not and now it says shipment on hold "The shipment is awaiting the next scheduled movement".

Now i do have some vero in the shipment hence why i'm on here look for some advice do you think the shipment is being checked by customs or been seized or is this normal i've never had seen this before especially in Hong Kong it usually departs?

Your advice would be much appreciated.

99% chance the shipment missed the plane it was supposed to go on or the plane was too full. Unless it says "shipment on hold - please contact DHL", it's not customs. Besides, since when does HK customs care about what being exported? lol...

I was thinking the exact same thing but **** always happens so I was abit worried I’ll just have to wait and see whether or not it updates to departed.

Did you use fedex IE service?
It all depends on how much you pay for the shipping service.
Some fedex ie shipping service is cheaper than other fedex ie service.
Your shipper or their shipping agent knows these things but they will only tell you it is because of too many packages. It is BS.

If you pay a high shipping rate, the package will still go to US in 2-3 days in this rush holiday season.

The slow and cheap ie : arrive in US in 2-3 weeks.
The faster and expensive ie : arrive in US in one week.
The fastest and most expensive IP : arrive in US in 2-3 days.

If it is the cheap ie service, it will be stuck in HK for many days and it is very normal. One time I used a cheaper ie service and the package stuck in HK for many days and went to TW, KR, JP, back to SH and finally boarded the plane to the US in 3 weeks and it gave me too much stress.

DHL and UPS HK are the same.
You pay more to get your package a "priority spot" on the plane instead of sitting in HK for many days.
I use reliable and more expensive DHL provider and my DHL always arrive in 4-5 days without any delays in HK at all. There are some cheap DHL providers as well but I don't use them. Just received a DHL package yesterday.

I think my supplier pays standard shipping however stating that I usually receive shipment within 2-3 days but due to the busy seanson I am having issue such as the one on this thread.

DHL Express is DHL Express. It's the busiest time of year and delays are common. :thumb:

Not all DHL are the same. It depends which DHL shipping agent who handles your package and how much you pay for your DHL service.

I had a DHL agent told me that their DHL packages had delays in December. He also suggested me to look for other DHL agents.

I needed the package badly and asked many people. I finally found this DHL agent and he told me that their DHL had no delays in December. I believed him and the DHL package sent to him really had no delays in December.

Expensive DHL agents can still get your package to leave HK at the same day in December holiday season.

The DHL price I paid to this package was also higher than the price I paid last month.

It was just delayed due to the busy season.

I think I was panicking for no reason lol ��

dhl is great on the phone, just try calling them
