Anyone else have a messed up stamps.com balance today?
 

Just curious if this is a platform wide issue, or if it's just my account.

When I stopped working yesterday I had a postage balance of about $120. When I login this morning it's showing as -$20.

Last Friday (9/27) stamps.com was running really poorly and it was taking 5x longer than usual to print labels. All of them did eventually print so I thought everything had been fixed. Then I notice the negative balance this morning, so I go into my print history to see wtf is going on. Almost all of the labels I printed on 9/27 when the software was running slow are now showing up as 2-4 separate prints. As in, the same order shows 4 labels printed, but I only printed 1 and only 1 ever went out (the other 3 show as being in preshipment still, even though I never printed them).

I'm going to call them but they don't open for another 30 minutes. I'm stuck until then because I don't want to add more $ to my stamps.com account until I know for sure what happened.

This kinda sucks. I'm stuck waiting for them. I've already requested refunds for all of the imaginary labels I never printed, but that takes like 3 weeks. Apparently I'm being punished for their glitch last week.

Anyone else notice anything like this or is it just me?

My stamps.com account is normal right now, but looking through history, it shows double prints / labels on two my my orders that were printed on Tuesday. (Only one label printed) Never would have noticed since these were smaller amounts. Glad I not checked after viewing your post. I'm going to cancel the pending labels and wait for a postage refund. I suppose you could do the same, but $120 in labels is a whole lot if time and wait. Hopefully they'll be able to fix it by phone, saving you this effort. Good luck!

I've narrowed down the problem a bit. I'm on hold with stamps but I don't know if it's going to go anywhere.

Apparently I was charged $120 over 76 different postage adjustments this morning. It doesn't look like those double/triple/quad prints are even a factor (but I think I was overcharged there too). It doesn't make any sense because these "adjustments" are for shipments spanning back 3 months. I've always thought if a postage adjustment is charged, it's when the shipment reaches USPS (or shortly thereafter).

Their CS wait times are crazy long this morning so hopefully I'm not the only one.. but maybe I am. I'll keep the thread updated regardless in case this becomes a problem for anyone else.

With heavier shipping periods approaching, they had better improve.

Turns out, it was all my fault.

USPS had billed me for 3 months worth of postage adjustments at once, which threw my account into the negatives, and threw me off big time. This was the first time they billed me for such a large batch at once so it was unexpected.

Don't short your international labels, guys. They get their $ either way these days. :(
