Anyone ship through fedex recently?
 

My fedex packages tracking has been stuck in LANTAU ISLAND HK for about 3 days now, even though it was supposed to be delivered today.

My vendor is saying that the forwarder is reporting to me that the riots have an impact on flights, and that HK is still waiting for flights to the USA. Also that the current flights are not enough.

I would have assumed there would be some news about this if the riots caused any serious delays for fedex but i can't find anything online, so i thought i would post here in hopes maybe some of you may have had a similar situation and can give a clear answer.


For anyone considering, dont bother using fedex. UPS and DHL have been on point with delivery, fedex dropping the ball big time.

I might call Fedex soon, but from what I've seen others report online, their customer service doesn't know crap.

What I was doing is following the flights leaving LANTAU ISLAND HK, and I saw that my package was "scanned" in around 12:08AM on Saturday 5/30, but the last flight leaving HK on Saturday already left at 9:49PM, I had hoped that it was a simple oversight on "timing" they scanned in the package since they provided me an estimated delivery date of 6/1/20 (it's not like Fedex isn't known for improper scanning timeframes).

I see the next Fedex flight is scheduled to leave today in about an hour. If my package really isn't in the USA already, I hope it's boarding that flight.

Either way, seems like with everything going on, Fedex should be everyone's absolute last choice for service, even if you have to pay a bit more for UPS or DHL at least you know what you're getting. I wanted to reach out to see if anyone may have more info about what's going on with Fedex that isn't easily found online based on their own personal experience, hopefully someone on this forums has some additional info they can add to the convo.

Sorry to hear what happened to you Phaz0rz...that's crazy...hopefully it somehow still makes it to you and gets resolved...wow.

I had a shipment delivered from Fedex through China, Aliexpress inventory. Was very impressed how quickly they delivered, within 7 days of the seller dispatching the order.

Riots are effecting ports and distribution centers on the west coast. It is starting to really cost me. No fixes or options at the moment.

I was informed that the port in California will resume operation on the 10th. That is 9 days holdup at port because of Riots. Crazy world.

All the shipping company’s are experiencing delays in delivery times currently - it’s usually posted on their main web page (Covid19 - protests). FedEx has been solid for me in NA, and Asia to CA via DHL has been excellent. Canada Post and USPS are really bad right now - at least in my experience past few weeks, particularly anything going to the eastern states.

Ports opened up last Wednesday/Thursday with Fedex moving quickly. UPS still has some delays. Freight... it is getting expensive. Basically hazard pay if they have to move through certain area.
