DHL Export Shipment on Hold
I have a package coming to me from my freight forwarder in the US via DHL (going out of US). The shipment has parts for my PC build and DJ Osmo which has a built-in battery and was marked correctly in the decleration having the type of battery.
Now neither the freight forwarder is helping much nor DHL, I contacted DHL and was told it has been marked as having "Dangerous Goods" and that a specialist will start an investigation and contact me within two hours with the result and what to do next but that never happened. I reached out again and was given Dangerous Goods email address of DHL and asked me to reach them via e-mail which I have done and I am waiting.
Am I correct to assume that I am not in trouble yet as no one from DHL has reached out to me about it, nor is there any status like Contact DHL in the tracking updates?
I have shopped a lot through freight forwarder and don't recall this happening. Not sure what they think is dangerous goods in the package itself otherwise Freight forwarder wouldn't ship it in the first place as they have very strict checking of the same.
