DHL - Returned to sender (Prescribed Medication)
 

I was traveling in Europe for some time and my dad had sent me my prescription to the hotel in France, where I was staying but because the shipment was a week late and I had to leave back to the US, I called DHL and asked them to return it back to sender. It's been some time since it got to Cincinnati...
Should I be worried at this point, because I'm not sure how it works with re-import of medications and the fact that I have never actually received the original shipment?

Not enough time has passed to be worried I'd say - just have to wait now.

What kind of medication? This could be relevant

The medication is for my chronic stuff, which has to be filled monthly because of the insurance company issues, so I couldn't bring extra with me to the trip. It's in my name and has all the receipts and pharmacy original packaging etc. Also, DHL did make a note that it's a prescribed medication, so CBP doesn't think that I'm trying to smuggle something lol just really hope it gets here, because it's kind of expensive meds.

You'll be fine. The latest update shows the shipment was given a release by customs so it should proceed to delivery early this week.

I wouldn't worry if I were you. I'd say give it a day or 2 for that status to change
