3 days inbound to custom
 

My package from china has been inbound to custom for 3 days now, any chance of getting it sooner? Or does it take this long to clear customs?

Keep checking.
If it sits there over a week it has been seized.
Did it go through San Francisco?

Was through New York

Just keep watching....
NY can be bad sometimes...

I've had packages sit there for almost two weeks before and I got them with no problems. Sometimes it just seems like they may "lose" your package or something

please tell your shipper send the invoice statement to usa quickly,the invoice must including the decriiption and quantity and value cost.

Call and find out is the only thing you really can do. Just call and ask them what the hold-up is and see if there is anything you or they can do to speed things up. Shipments getting held in customs for up to two weeks isn't uncommon.

Guys thanks, i am a little bit relieved now. EMS is really slow.

usually the custom will have the result within 30 days,destory or release or return back to shipper.just waiting ,

I had two packages at same time going through customs. The one in sf. Got released yesterday after just 2 days.my bigger package is still in ny customs since august 28th.its now ben five days. The package in sf would of been seized if there was a blacklist right?? So annoying.i have orders to fill

Not necessarily. But if a package going to an address gets seized, it is generally considered safer to use a different address in the future.

ANY package can be seized at ANY port at ANY time. All it takes is for a customs person to think a package is suspicious. Or, sometimes packages are selected at random to be searched.

If you are trying to buy ⊗⊗⊗⊗, then these are the risks.

Seizures are on the rise. But nobody knows for sure what methods they are using. There are a lot of THEORIES, but I don't think anyone has the whole picture, so to speak.

Having a good supplier who knows how to package and send items makes a BIG difference. Nothing is foolproof, but this lessens the risk.

i have 1 that hit ny and went "inbound out of customs" at 3am labor day morning. no updates since. My other package still sits in friggin ny customs, i call the express mail center in jfk who helped me previously when an airbill came out of the plastic envelope. But they aren't answering today. I wanna find out why that other is still there since august 28th. And now i got one in cinci delayed... asrfdqwer4134242 im so stressed

The one that was released from NY you will get. Cincinatti has had delays lately, some people who have been delayed HAVE received their packages. The one that has been sitting since 08-28 has most likely been seized. It could have been selected at random, or it could have caught somone's attention.

Pepple complain that one package was seized and another made it through, but both were the same size, weight, product, etc. It does not matter! You could get 100 shipments throguh - all the exact same package - and shipment #101 could get seized. That is just the way it is.

Yeah my headphones will be here tomorrow. Just made it to my area on tracking tonight.

The cinci ... i called twice now, dhl tells me same thing. It may of been selected at random for inspection, and could be released any minute or upto 5 days. As for the one on the 28th, who knows.. heh


for a good 4 months i had many items pass through ISC and it didnt even show it went to customs in NY..It just came straight through. Is that just a mistake in tracking?

I have also seen this, and I am not sure what it is. Maybe some packages never pass through customs??? Either that or maybe they do not have it set up to scan packages inbound into customs, so we only see when it is released.

If your packages stay at usa custom over 2 days,the possiblity of be seized is too much and if DHL tracking display"please contact DHL service" it is meaning your package have been seized.

Don't contact DHL. Just ask your seller to re-ship. If the seller won't work with you, you can get a refund by faxing the letter you will receive from customs to DHgate or AliExpress. Assuming, of course, that you bought it from one of those websites.

I usually just scan my letters and send them as a attachment.

The seller refunded me the package that NY customs detained. and the dhl one.. hes dragging on. But, i'll get with him, he's going to refund me soon. I reordered from another seller that previously sent me dhl, explained to her the problem from this other seller, and she said she wanted to use a different address to be safe. So i changed address....


---- and finally my buyers will get their products shipped, tomorrow hopefully!

So, this tells me a few things....

1. the other seller, made a mistake somewhere to get the package flagged....
2. has bad luck, he always use the styrofoam packing, is that what everyone uses?
3. the seller i re-ordered from is an expert, she is a power seller,factory etc.. recommended etc... on dhgate.

So from now on, any dhl i'll just order from her, and keep the other guy EMS only since his packages from EMS were never a problem except for 1, and 3 passed since then.

You guys talk about letters like you've received them often, do you change address everytime? I am going to get a pobox for EMS now, and dhl well i gotta drive 50 miles to pick up for the immediate future.

Received this DHL this morning, it wasn't even hidden, it was just a plain big box filled with VERO. LoL... And i shipped out all of it, and ordered another set from her via dhl which she shipped today. I am gonna learn from these mistakes.



Always have stock on hand before you sell it. Or in my case, as soon as you see that it's cleared customs... lol
