Thanks for the reply... my parcels have always been out of there in a few hours, it's been over 4 days now. What's the liklihood of it being seized?

Thanks again for your help.

outward , normally means you are in the clear.....but as you know the system is cumbersome, so what you view online isnt always correct.

Selling Items before ACTUALLY Having them IN HAND is one of the BIGGEST Mistakes you can Make, Especially VERO Products Form China that have a High Seizure Risk

I have also a question about ParcelForce. My package seems to be stuck. It has been in the same status now since 01-09, and now it is 12-09 (so eleven days!). How long can it really be there? It is suposed to come to Finland.

01-09-2010 21:49 International Hub Arrived at outward Office of Exchange
01-09-2010 02:02 National Hub Sorted in hub
24-08-2010 02:23 International Hub Arrived at outward Office of Exchange
23-08-2010 17:36 London North West Depot On route to hub
23-08-2010 16:38 London North West Depot Collected from customer

When I contacted ParcelForce I also got the same answer as supreme_01
Seems that no one there really is interested at all to sort out where the package is... Any ideas?

@salomike,

There are several reasons your parcel might be delayed.

Simple ones:
the sender may not have put correct info on parcel.
Paperwork not in order.
Parcel itself damaged & outer packaging ripped, (therefore not secure to forward)
More serious ones:
Are the items allowed to be sent to Finland? Certain items may not be exported and if parcelforce realize that, then the parcel will be held.
Sender has made an error under the relevant part of the Customs Act by undertaking to send items.

What to do: check with the seller. Make sure the items are allowed.
Dont know if you have used the seller before but enquire if he is on the level....
Say on Tuesday, try parcelforce again if there is no status change or if the seller does not help you.
Hope that helps

As long as it doesn't have any illegal or prohibited in it then it is fine.

Hi,
I still wonder about the delay.
The content is nothing illegal, and is allowed here in Finland.
It is as simple as a relatively cheap car radio. And the seller at least seems to be a reliable big company.

If the parcel doesn't arrive, or I get some reliable information about it very soon, I think I have to claim my money back...

next time you have to try to mark the parcel value more lowest,do not over 30 uk pounds. Also be sure you write the tel no. on the bill and prepare the paperwork well for clear custom.Packinglist and invoice.

Doh, forgot something: some of those parcels were inbound on Bank Holiday weekends. There was one at start of AUgust & one at end. Might have been a factor (backlog of moving goods)
