Anyone use Endicia for Postage? INPUT NEEDED!

OK...

I am trying to figure out if it would be TECHNICALLY POSSIBLE for eBay/PayPal/Amazon to link accounts by comparing tracking numbers that were input by users of Endicia and/or Stamps.com.

I believe the answer is NO, but I need your help to confirm this.

The following is the structure of a Tracking Number:

420 90210 9101 1480 0860 0040 2644 66

Here is what those numbers mean:

420 = Routing application idenifier
90210 = 5 Digit ZIP Code
91 = Tracking application identifier
01 = Service Type Code
148008600 = MAILER ID CODE
04026446 = Sequential Package ID
6 = Check Digit

The numbers to be concerned with are highlighted in blue. This is the 9 digit ID number that identifies the mailer. At first, I thought that each individual mailer would have their own ID number, but it looks more and more like this number is shared by EVERYONE who uses Endicia. The same should apply to Stamps.com, although the ID number would be different.

So my question is, if any of you use Endicia, could you check some of your tracking numbers to see if they contain the SAME numbers highlighted in blue above? They would be in the SAME POSITIONS as well.

Your help could confirm for all of us if this is something that could be used to link accounts or not. Please understand that I AM NOT asking you to POST any numbers. Just reply with YES, the same or NO, not the same. That way, if I am wrong then nobody's personally identifiable information will be out in public. If I am right, then we can put this topic to bed once and for all.

Thanks,

Jeff

BTW: If anyone wants to know more about these numbers, in NAUSEATING technical detail, here is the link to a PDF file from the USPS:

You are correct.
The blue digits on the number you posted are also on my packages I print with Endicia.

I also use stamps.com and I like it better.
It downloads my ebay sales and then re-uploads the USPS DC number to my eBay account.
And it is FREE

Stamps.com can also be used for Amazon but you need a Amazon Pro Merchant Account for it to work.

OMG you are right....
That has to be one of the most distasteful displays in a .pdf I have tried to read in at least 3 weeks.
