Default customs and changing zip code

i live in ca and had 3 of my last orders seized lax customs.
i order from china.
if i change my zip from 91367 to 11367 so it goes thru ny customs would it get redirected to me?
lax customs is impossible.

a freind says this works if you use ems

There's no full-proof method to say that the parcel will get to you.

Some have in fact been returned to sender in China.

Tell your friend it's not such a bright idea.

Tell me this though. 3 parcels seized and you are still thinking of importing items? Does this not seem risky?

Why would you be naive enough to think that a parcel with an incorrect address is going to go under customs radar?

re-think what you sell

A couple years back, changing the zip code worked well. Now it seems that they catch the incorrect zip right away and just send it back. If you use a zip that actually exists, there is a chance that the shipment will make it to the post office servicing that zip. There they might cross it out and look up the correct zip. It used to be routinely done, but has become very iffy nowdays.

How come many people wrote the wrong zip code,as we know,it is very important when we fill the form .We should double check before send it out.
