Cheapest shipping for these items
 

I have a pretty big stock of calculators i would like to sell. The usual way i used to ship them was go to the post office and throw it in the free priority mail envelope and ship it. That cost me $4.95 per calculator. These calculators weight about 2.5 pounds and the other one weighs about 1.8 pounds. Anyone have an idea what would be the cheapest way to ship these?

You could cut 20¢ per shipment if you ship through PayPal. Flat Rate Envelopes are currently $4.75 though them.

Media Mail.

How does that work? I dont think i ever saw that in pp shipping options

That would very irresponsible to ship these USPS Media Mail.

1) The ones that do make it through the Media Mail checks will take up to 10 days to reach the customer. 14+ days to Alaska and Hawaii. (Expect to be NEG'D)

2) The ones that don't make it through the Media Mail checks will be upgraded to USPS Priority Mail and will be forwarded "Postage Due" to your customer. (Expect to be NEG'D)

The objective to Stealth is stay under the radar, getting complaints from customers doesn't fit that goal.

You will never find a cheaper rate than the PRIORITY flat rate box or envelope. Media mail will be nearly that much and a waste of time. as another poster said they take forever to arrive and when you get caught you are paying more for postage anyway. Well the buyer will and post a neg for you when its a hassle for them. Plus you get a nice warning for next time

Flat rate is pretty cheap. how much are these things to begin with? Pretty heavy calculators too.

Price range on these are about $40-$70. I paid $10 each.

Then you could easily just ship them for free and go with priority. Man those do seem heavy though. I just weighed My scientific calc and it weighed 9oz.

Offer free shipping and use priority. There is no cheaper rate anywhere else.

MEDIA MAIL
Is for MEDIA not Calculators
media meaning.. dvds, books, papers.. not electronics or things like that
its basically just dvds and books.. but it does take 7-10 days to reach the customers which might not be the BEST choice.. priority is great.. 2-3 days positive feedback.. always good

Funny thing though is 1st class is cheaper than media mail on light things up to 13oz.

I used to sell dvds and would save tons of money overall by sending 1st class. Plus they would get there in half the time.

First Class best for under 13oz.

Say what you want about Media Mail. I've shipped thousands of packages this way and unless your packages look super sketchy, I have never head an issue in years.

I used to as well after getting a huge box of tools one time via media mail. They were falling out of every side and the PO counter clerk chewed me out for it. I just told here I didnt do anything wrong so take that BS somehwere else.

I started doing it since they saved so much money doing it. It lasted about a week or so and I got busted.

You get busted a couple times and you wont be able to mail anything under that name any more. In that case it was under my real name so I didnt want to push it with them. also small town at the time so it would have been ugly.

Names don't exist on my packages, I use dozens of random return addresses because I don't ever do returns period, all of my packages are squares and rectangles and lastly, everything is prepaid and gets dropped off after hours.
