There has to be someone local who sells it wholesale.

I used to get mine from a restaurant supply company who also carried peanuts.

Now that I moved I am trying to find another local wholesale company.

You are paying retail for it. You should be able to get it wholesale.

My daughter works at T-mobile and they throw away bubble wrap and those inflated small bags every day. She used to bring me huge boxes of this stuff every couple days. All stores would be the same. Go to the cell phone places and ask them to toss it out back for you in boxes or bags. They will do it. Its super stuff and clean.

I used to buy my bubble wrap from the same place i sell on, EB. I asked some cell phone stores but they all said no, can't have. I am not going to go dumpster diving so i buy it cheaper on EB than at walmart.

Look on kijiji, and on craigslist. Some people list 'free' packing peanuts and bubble wrap on there occasionally. I managed to get whole crate full of packing peanuts - but I had no where to put it. I ended up giving it for free on local classified ad's. You'll be surprised by the amount of free packing you can get. Keep on checking occasionally - you'll eventually find one in a blue moon. Well - it all depends on where you live, if you reside in a major city you'll likely find your self more jackpot than you can imagine.

No Doubt, I know a guy that funds his whole lifestyle dumpster diving. Has been doing it for 30yrs. The finds he as discovered would amaze people.

Big companies throw away near new computers by the dozens because of a dumb upgrade that is easier to buy new then to keep upgrading.

but don't those big companies contract with recyclers instead of throwing it away?

Some of those companies do nobody999 but quite a few don't give a fug ha - and the costs of picking up for recycling sometimes is passed on to the company.

@GB, are you the one leaning over in the dumpster? I could swear you are NOT the one on the right...
