| | | mike017 | 09-19-2011 01:21 PM | Canadian & DHL & Cincinnati customs Any Canadian here got their good seize by Cincinnati CUSTOMS in USA?
My parcel via DHL arrived in Cincinnati custom on Friday afternoon and it has been on clearance delay ever since. Never run into any problem til now. Just curious if any Canadian experience the same problem as I do. |
| mike017 | 09-28-2011 06:00 PM | Well my package has been officially seized by custom and unless my supplier can spit out an importing license, it's
I'm sure some of you have gotten your parcel seize, just curious how supplier usually deal with it. Mine is asking for 50-50, is that reasonable? |
50-50 is reasonable
if you didnt pay with pay pal that`s really good
if its been seized you may aswell for the 50-50 as at least you get something back
but,it could get seized again,this is the game we play,its a dangerous one:juggle: |

I am currently at 8 days (non canadian, i am in USA), and supposedly per DHL rep, it can take up to 30 days. |
| mike017 | 09-28-2011 11:01 PM | Vero. I wouldn't worry too much if you are not buying vero.
I heard ems is much safer but it's sooooo slow. |

I heard ems is much safer but it's sooooo slow. | EMS usually takes 8 business days. Isnt DHL like 6 days? Never had a problem with customs seizing anything. I had packages opened and they were VERO items and yet nothing happened. I know they opened because they placed their "Canadian customs" tape over the open part. |
| unkown5454 | 09-29-2011 12:24 AM | HKEMS is just as fast as DHL. Be sure to request "HKEMS". Price is slightly higher, but well worth it and your items deliver 6 days per week with USPS. |
| mike017 | 10-04-2011 09:11 PM | Ok. So I got the official letter from USA Custom about the seize. What should I do, wise men in this forum. Should I ignore the letter or should I reply? I'm from Canada btw. |
i would say ignore
but if they got your real name and it was a big expensive haul then i would probably seek legal advice |
You're in Canada - you got a letter from US Customs - not registered? Flush it - in your real name? Avoid from now on. |
LOL yeah i bet US customs can't touch you
did you sign for the letter? |
| yotano211 | 10-05-2011 05:44 PM | Next time you take a poop wipe yoir butt with it, then flush it down.
Ems is only a few more days but its safer. |
| TheKey | 10-06-2011 02:31 AM | Yes Customs are very strict when it comes to Private shippers like DHL, customs opened an envelope that was shipped to me by DHL which only contained papers. Every time a shipment comes from DHL, it always had the "checked by customs" tape on it. And not to mention the extra Fee's. Best way to ship is EMS. |
| RedShootingStar | 10-06-2011 02:41 AM | NEVER had an issue with DHL, and packages usually take 48-72 hours to arrive to me from china. Although I dont buy foo-foos so I am one of the few that can sleep at night, and havent created a "ohhh noooo customs letter, what do I do" thread, or the dreaded vero sue letter. Why do people go through this type of stuff, when there are so many better options? |
| mike017 | 10-06-2011 09:28 AM | Nope haven't sign anything yet.
Rsot -> what mean by registered? |
Means you had to sign for the letter - if it's just regular mail that's pointless.
Just to clarify mike017: you physically in Canada or just Canada IP citizen? =) |
| mike017 | 10-06-2011 01:22 PM | physically in Canada and I can be an USA ip citizen =p
Yes it's regular mail. |

| FandangoKango | 10-06-2011 08:58 PM | If the package is in your real name how would that be a problem? So I should order stuff always with a different first name and last name or what? | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 01:12 PM. | |
