Shipping Electronics from China to US
 

I only have 2 options: FedEx or DHL
Items are iPhones, iPads, digital cameras, etc
I've heard horror stories of both, which is the lesser of two evils? :/

Another alternative would be sell different items :doh:

If your iphone & ipad was the real Apple item, you would not be worried.

The only thing you might be worrying about is the customs opening your package and slapped on an expensive tarrif bill on collect if they are legitimate products

Everything I sell is 100% legit. I'm just wondering which one is more reliable and will have the least import taxes as well as least seizures, delays, lost packages etc.

iPhones and iPads are not cheaper here... not the real ones anyway.

There is no back door at Foxxcon - they don't discard slightly faulty ipad or iphones into their bins. Trust me, I checked.

Also I think you will struggle against your Chinese brothers - they are happy to sell with a much lower profit margin than you.

I guess you can get those buyers who don't like buying from China.

P.S Be wary of anyone promising iPads and all apple stuff at prices that seem too good to be true. You will end up with a box full of t-shirts - as happened to a friend of mine who doesn't like to listen to advice.

If you have a contract with a genuine APPLE distributor, all of your concerns are taken care of before you get the items.

Your questions are not what an importer should be asking. Those bases should have been covered when you sourced your goods.:doh:

The only way you would get Apple products is from a USA distributor. No way in hell your little measly self has a direct connection to a factory bypassing distributors who spend millions of dollars to be exclusive importers.

The price of genuine iphones ,ipad from china are higher 1.3 times than usa.So if the price is same as usa market,the stuff 100% are refurbished,copy .

Even the goods can be delivered to you safely but you will tried to sell these stuff because there are lot of quality issue will come to you very quickly,here are the main quality problem for the refurbished phones:
no singal,copy battery life is short ,software is not not work,mainboard have been leak into water before,this will cause more problem .


You will make a little money at the first week but slowly when the phones return back to you and you will know you will lost more money .

Even your supplier accept return but the international shipping cost is big and you have to pay more as you expect.

There is on way to make the money from buying the brand Electronics to resell.

The main problem is the quality,not is the shipping.

Yeh just to re-clarify its impossible to buy genuine branded goods in China any cheaper than US/Europe, due to licencing laws.

If anything these high end products manufacturd in china which all get exported, end up being smuggled back into china from the US/Europe via HK to be sold on the grey market here, for people that dont want to pay the massive markups on these items.

All the replica products will be of inferior quality, using different operating systems to the originals and probably wont last very long, probably meaning have to deal with a stack of returns to deal with from your customers and probably silence from your supplier...

Buddy of mine ordered an "android" tablet from China...because it was half the price as it was over here. He found out the hard way that the tablet was not a droid, and had a garbage OS just like you said.

People do it here's a story it's been done before........
