DHL - Shipment on hold -
 

hey guys, I am new to this forum,

I have a parcel coming into the UK and it says , "Shipment on hold'.

how ever it has been realised from customs as it says, Clearance processing complete at LONDON-HEATHROW - UK


It says its on hold after this, Arrived at Sort Facility LONDON-HEATHROW - UK


Does it say HOLD because of the monday and tuesday bank holidays ? because DHL are not working on these two days.

so many threads on this lately. i would wait a few days and see what happens. it could have been seized. dhl is terrible with getting items through customs

Yes, it's on hold due to public holidays.

Chirstmas holiday sure will delay your package,your package will deliver to your address soon .Donot worry about this.Because this thing have happened to us before and it got delivered finally .since your packages Arrived at Sort Facility ,and shippment on hold at sort facility is not the matter about custom any more and it is the only thing for DHL to do.

But shippment on hold at custom is another story.

'on hold' can also mean it missed the flight out and will catch a flight the next day.

Patience is necessary - since you have not posted any of the dates - give it 72 hours for updates. All the best.

Its public holidays and you need to call maybe tomorrow to pay your fees.

Go onto www.dhl.co.u k/epayments > Enter waybill number > will tell you if you owe them fees which is what it usually means.

i have the same witha parcel

anyone no how much customs i will get charged on a parcel valued $45

Well if you go on HMRC wesite and search import duty / tax youll find out. Doubt you will get charged anything on 45$ as its under £40.
