How long does it take for a EMS tracking number to work?

It keeps saying info not available on the main EMS site and it's been a day since i was given the number

Ebayorbust 02-02-2012 01:25 PM

Can take 3 or 4 days.

Hrad 02-02-2012 03:39 PM

Yeah, up to 4 days. Usually 2-3 days for me personally.

davecolt55 02-02-2012 03:41 PM

most of the the chinese sellers use shipping agents so you normally get your tracking number a few days before your package is even picked up and scanned by ems. It normally takes around 3 days so don't worry.

mr.deeds 02-02-2012 07:01 PM

yeah i had this one seller give me a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ tracking number before so nowadays i just get paranoid if the 'acceptance' update takes awhile to show up lol

Gamefreak 02-02-2012 08:35 PM

it all depends on when they drop off the item and ESM scans it. Can takes days to weeks even.

Thankful 02-02-2012 08:43 PM

Yeah your not the only person who worries about this, 1 time it took me 2 weeks!!! really annoying at times.

glh1309 02-03-2012 10:48 AM

Through HK it usually is 3-4 days.

MM78 02-05-2012 09:44 PM

I think in general for about 99% of all EMS shipping it's 3-4 days. I'm sure it takes longer before or after major Chinese holidays hit.

KingRay 02-06-2012 01:23 AM

I have EMS packages going to the UK and Canada both and neither ever showed anything. Been months now. They got the items but nothing even showed up, not even the acceptance.

rsot 02-06-2012 10:59 AM

What's the final verdict mr.deeds?

mr.deeds 02-06-2012 08:00 PM

Took 2 days. My package has been in transit since then and is going to be delivered tomorrow :D :D

FYI: looks like these chinese suppliers do use shipping agents. I placed an order today with a separate supplier and a ems number was given to me right after i paid lol. he/she said that they just wanted to provide me with the number, but would actually be shipping this friday *shrugs*

seanws30 02-06-2012 08:16 PM

ive had stuff delivered that tracked still in hong kong. ems tracking sux

rsot 02-07-2012 09:37 AM

Some of the "chinese agents" may not have entered the number correctly - always check with your supplier.

wilburnet 02-11-2012 12:37 PM

due to the chinese new year hols in china lately , give your ems tracking number at least 7 normal days from the date shipped for the tracking details to appear . but usually data should be online with EMS shipping in 3-4 days ...

justarslan 02-11-2012 08:41 PM

Hong Kong EMS 2 Days
China EMS 5 Days
Singapore EMS 3 Days

teedon 02-13-2012 09:42 AM

Ususally the tracking no. will be available at the same day when we send the goods by EMS because we deal with EMS directly. But you need to sign a contract with EMS and you have to guarantee that you reach the certain times shippments each month(etc., you have to send 100 packages per month) and then you can get the discount from them.If not you can not get any discount from them,so many people choose the shipping agent to handle ,this way the shipping fee will be cheaper.

mr.deeds 02-14-2012 12:08 AM

shoot, another annoyance. i have 3 ems packages conveniently inbound to customs in chicago right now. same name and addresses on package cause they're for me... any chance of suspicion from the customs agents? i bought from reliable suppliers so the wayfare bills should be good

all replica clothing but relatively small orders though; one package contains 2 t-shirts and a belt, the other about 10 pairs of underwear, and the third has 2 pairs of shoes and some other accessories

usually an order going through chi-town customs for me would clear overnight or in a day but looks like its coming up to 2 days now for these packages

teedon 02-17-2012 11:26 AM

1 days or two days are normal but not the rule.So please wait for a few days more .

There are not too much things to do with paperwork as you said the waybills should be good.

zea1177 02-17-2012 12:22 PM

I order often with EMS. It takes up to 24 hours, not more. The problem is that when the seller gives you a tracking number, he/she will not send your package right away...in most cases they just want to look like they sent the package immediately, but they actually do it 2-3 days later and blame it on the system. You can check by reading the detailed tracking information when the item was scanned- that was the time it was shipped!

MM78 02-17-2012 11:07 PM

Mr. Deeds, I would suggest next time to have your shipper to send you multiple packages at least 1 day apart from each other. Sometimes if you get 2-3 packages at once it can create some suspicion at the Customs check. Not trying to scare ya but why play around with your merchandise.

teedon 02-21-2012 07:57 AM

That is professional idea to send the packages by separate times,1 day for two packages and then send the packages next other day.
