Customs seizure?
 

I've recently ordered 5 Dvd's (and another 5 along the way). Everything was going fine until I checked the tracking. It's been inbound into customs for 3 days. I'm getting a little worried as I'm sure it's been seized. It's been shipped to a PO box. Should I immediately close the PO box and ask for a refund from my supplier or should I wait and be patient?

Package cleared customs, so I guess I was paranoid. Lesson learned.

If the tracking number does not update or you dont receive the package in 10 days or less its been seized.

Then your post office will still receive the package in 1-3 months with green tape around the package and a seizure letter inside unless your package been stolen.

I would wait patiently I have had stuff released from customs after a week from backlogs and there is always that slight chance that you would receive the package without any tracking information updating from the barcode not being scanned.

Welcome to the forum - way too early to be worried. Wait a bit.

As for additional information, it was sent via EMS using Express Mail International.

It was sent 5 days ago and arrived in customs 3 days ago.

I was thinking of leaning towards playing it safe and closing it either tomorrow or 2 days from now. I wouldn't be as worried if there was a shipping delay in another stage of the shipping process; however when the package is given to customs that's when my caution alert is at play.

On the other hand, how often does a delay of 3-5 days inbound into customs happen? From my experience, it's usually been a couple of hours to 2 days at most using EMS.

Where is the package located? Some customs are worse than others.

Interesting update though, my package has been cleared out of customs just today. I can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Thank you all for your help though.

I think I'll stick with legit stuff for awhile.

I wouldnt even worry about 10 DVD's... That is small fry....

Even 1 fry will eventually make a potato. Find enough fry's and you can make a baked potato.

hey guys, any chance a package of 2 pairs of shoes and a sweatshirt might attract customs attention? it was inbound on the 13th at about 9PM so it's been about 2.5 days and my stuff more or less usually clears chicago customs overnight or within 1 day. maybe that's why i'm so anxious lol....

A light order is likely not to cause problem but prob wait for other folx to chime in with personal experiences.

Yeah, you don't hear of real small orders getting seized often.

Then again, the guy who started this thread had 5 DVD's jacked so who knows..

For some reason, Chicago customs is taking it's time. My 1st order took 3 days to clear customs. My 2nd order arrived in San Fran. and cleared customs in 5 hours.

My advice is to wait a day or two. Just like everybody else said about my order, be patient. Small orders attract small attention.

San Francisco is the best, they clear super quick.
