Printing Shipping Labels (Brother QL-560)
 

I have never been able to get my printer to work with the labels. It always prints retardedly.

Does anyone know if i am using the wrong label size, or what label size would fit, and work with the printer. I have looked everywhere!

I use the brother QL-570
no problems here. i even use compatible labels from china - DK11201

I use a QL-570 and it works flawlessly. I cut the plastic roll holder in two so that I could use pure labels without a new plastic holder. That cut the cost per label better than half. It is possible you have a defective printer, but the software driver is the most likely culprit.

And the QL570 uses a roll of continuous labels which the printer cuts off each time. I use a 2.4 inch wide roll that goes under the part number DK-2205. That one gives you a new plastic roll holder each time, and it isn't possible to put on an inexpensive substitute roll unless it is cut in half.

you can also buy generic refills with new plastic holders that have a removable component so you dont have to destroy the holder to refill the labels
i use die cut labels

Cheers for the advice guys, but i'm after people with QL-560's, or would QL-570s do the same job?

Do you guys use the P-Touch editor?
I can get the 560 to work great for an individual label but when doing multiples its all over the place printing one address over 2 labels and cutting blank labels off.
Im on the verge of kicking it around the room
