Is my address a goner? Green Customs Tape
 

Just ordered a batch of NON vero items... and yet Customs Still went through it

The box only contained furry keychains. And was shipped via EMS China

Is my address nixed now? because I plan to order vero soon.

Bump, anyone have any insight?

Probaly not it would have been a random search probaly triggered by the x-ray machine seeing the furry keyrings.

Unless its drugs the customs officers watch the x-ray machine and if something looks interesting they will open it.

This has probaly done you more good than harm as now you are not on the lookout list as the goods were ok.

It is a random checking . The custom will check some packages if they think it is dangerous package.

I agree with teedon. The checking was totally random. I've had a time where the custom opened a small envelope with only a USB cable in it.

goner no way dude.. I get those green tape every once in awhile but I still order vero and have no problems...

Most likely picked up the fur on the scanner/x ray. Live/Dead animals being imported is a huge issue.

how does the package go through the customs if it is vero products ( do not they send the package for inspection???).

Green tape means inspection. I have 10 pacakges last month all had green tape all vero but the trademarks are really small perhaps they missed it.

But on one item I ordered 1000s pcs they opened 3 of them and still sent them to me.. :D

Customs are human, not a computer. Do you really think every employee there has memorized the hundreds of millions or billions of trademarked items that exist in this world? C'mon now...they will only know what's common. :mod:

Even then, you still need to be knowledgeable and experienced to even know what a c.o.p.y. of a particular item looks like. Makes it pretty hard when the c.o.p.y. and the original all come from the same country and factories that stand right next to each other.

Not being funny but shipping by EMS is ALWAYS problems.

Every package I have had EVER that has come by EMS at some point is problems.

DHL is AWESOME 2-3 days from China to my doorstep, customs is NEVER and I repeat NEVER a problem and only on the odd occassion do I have to pay tax.

There is no 1 solution for Shipping to USA or any other Country From China. On a personal level I get some packages arrive through DHL and some through EMS, Any level of shipping will eventually have problems.

If you trust your Supplier and they are seasoned they will know exactly which way your item(s) should be sent. No Supplier can guarantee 100% arrival rate but they will know how to get close to 100%.
