DHL hold in LA?
 

I have a package coming in from China. Usually my packages come through the Cinci hub but for some reason this one says its Transferred through LOS ANGELES GATEWAY - USA. Kinda weird because its coming to the east coast.
Anyways when I checked the tracking it says on hold for this reason:

The piece has arrived later than normally scheduled and cannot make its expected planned movement / delivery cycle

Am I to be worried about this? It arrived at 5:02 am then went on hold at 5:03.

Not if it moves in the morning.

If the package doesn't move by tomorrow....you might have problems.

It's the weekend. Search the forum. DHL does not work on weekends, therefore it is often that we see holds on Friday and Saturday evenings. This has been talked about in the past. Search around.

This is normal for LA gateway. You can expect it to move monday but if it doesnt then you have a problem

besides the points by the other members mentioned above,what is the in the package?I mean it is vero products or not?

If the tracking display"Please contact DHL",you might lose this package.

So I've been getting DHL orders for well over a year now, and they all used to come through Cincinnati, then to Canada. Lately though, for the past month, they are all coming through Los Angeles Gateway, and have given me pretty much nothing but problems. I have another on hold there now for over 24 hours. I'm not sure whats changed, but I know I dont like it.

Los Angeles gateway always are the deadzero for the vero goods by DHL,you may need to change other shipping company if this situation last

i got one there also. it just got there this morning and says something like "this shipment is waiting for next scheduled movement"

sigh

Thats good! That means in cleared, just waiting to hop on the next plane to your destination!

The part that scares me is the "Transferred Through" The next line will say Call DHL
I usually do not see that....before it just read it was out for delivery!

I used DHL for many years and I often had "shipment on hold". It could mean anything from waiting to be processed for customs (ie there was a backlog) to the fact that there was something in the paperwork they wanted to clarify. Whenever I saw this I would ring DHL at once and get it sorted.

The package was also "on hold" until I paid the import duty whereas Fedex always bill me later.
