Thermal printer for Mac 10.4 for Paypal/ebay 4x6" labels
 

I have this issue as of right now, I print using an inkjet printer, I would like to use a thermal printer to save me tons of money. Problem is I can't find info on what type to use and what is compatible as I keep getting mixed messages. I have read about using Endicia.com, but I don't want to pay a fee nor do I want to do anything outside of ebay to print labels. I would like to basically do what I do now when printing labels, just click print label, then ship all through ebay's system. What printer can I use and how can I do this? I am using a Mac 10.4 system and have seen the LP 2844, but I was told I would have to either use Endicia.com or install virtual windows, which I do not want to do either. I have seen Dyno printers but I want to be able to have the address and postage all on label so i am guessing 4 x 6" is the size I need. I am confused on this and could really use some help as to which way to go and the the type of printer that will get me where I want to be. Thank you in advance! :help:

Seriously.....No one has an answer to this issue???

I am not a mac user so i do not know. But what i would do if i were in your shoes, i would go on eb*y and contact all of the sellers asking them this question. Then i would go online and start calling places that sell them and ask them this question. One way or another you will find out what label printer works with a mac by doing this.

I would do the eb method first. They will be honest because they know if it does not work you will ask for refund and might leave a neg. So they will be truthful.

Or..... go buy a $300 buck laptop for eb use only. And use the lp2844 with windows. Once you move up in this game you will most likely like a seperate computer for your work. I'm pretty sure 99% of here would recommend this anyway.

With the LP2844, what operating system are you on? OSX 10.? Are you able to do what I was mentioning regarding direct from ebay/paypal printing labels? Basically no 3rd party service type deal? A little more detail about how you use it and system stuff will be VERY helpful as I tried searching a lot different venues online and seem to not find direct info about this.
