Smile Best way to ship from China to UK????

Hi,
I've been selling and importing things for a while now.
I've always used EMS for all my vero items but now my supplier is saying the shipping agent can't use EMS to ship it.
That I should use DHL and she has a few success stories.
But I have my own tales I've heard from people in the UK getting their packages seized.

So what is the best way to ship vero items? Before my supplier loses me my money :>

Hope you guys are willing to help or i've seen how nasty some of you can be

Use a freight forwarding agent and ship it by sea.

It should be much less expensive than what you have used so far, but will take longer.

DHL is the fastest and safest way to get items shipped from China to the UK . Does not get inspected as much as EMS , and if you have to pay a tax charge its usually under £20

DHL shipping does cost more for small, light items but if the pack weight goes over about 15kg then DHL is just as competitive.

The biggest advantage is around shipping times.

I wait roughly 4 days during the week for packages, thats stupidly quick.

A previous conversation with a 'clued up' DHL rep is that their fastest route is between HK -> UK.

Hubber,

I got a pm from you and cannot reply for some reason.

DHL are good mostly as reported by,(Ebayorbust, hdavey10 & Wilburnet) any delays seem pretty easy to work with and improvement on delivery time will make you smile.

Keep the customs and weights "reasonable", anything out of the ordinary gets flagged.. a lot DHL is done weight and the packages get weighed at most transfer points/converyor belts etc.. So if you under value and its overweight anyway.. its gonna be grabbed for a look see, thats when someone may just take a dislike to what to what they find..

Hope this helps

Thanks a lot Area51 I appreciate that. Answers all my questions.
Normally declare 100-200 dollars for value for 10/20kg so shouldn't be a problem I'm sure they flag the very low values.

I think that you misunderstand chinese,i from china.
I sell product nearly 4 year. Our product ship to all world.
some of the product lost or blocked the custom, the lost product is very very litter.
Most of them have been blocked by the custom. You need pay the tax for your custom.
But only a little customer do it.
So you think china seller cheat you.
