Tracking numbers - with no tracking numbers :)
 

Hey guys,
it might be interesting for some of you..

I have an inquiry.. maybe some of you have a good solution..
..
I am selling my stuff on ebay.com (mostly US clients)
my ebay registration address is in UK..
and I shipped items from Czech Republic

...shipping from Czech Republic to overseas is much cheaper (for me as well as for my clients).
To make the shipping costs even lower.. I ship it without tracking numbers (goods are cheap...so no much risk if some get stolen).

My question is.. to become a top-rated seller for US clients /ebay.com/
there is a condition that 90% of shipments need to have provided a tracking number on ebay.

As I do not have tracking numbers (all items are sent by economic postage) ... is there any other solution for me to become top-rated seller ? (& to improve my search standing for fixed price listings)

I was thinking about putting some "cool" reference number instead of a tracking number.. but I am afraid they could suspend me pretty quickly..

Any advice.. really appreciate guys..

Welcome to the forums.

Shipping without tracking is dangerous but perhaps the only way is to up your volume of sales in order to minimalize losses (yes you may have a few claims but your overall volume makes up for it).

..they want from me tracking numbers with every shipping.. but I do not use tracking shipments. Maybe some reference number instead of tracking number would be enough? thanks anyway for your support :)

To get to TRS you have to WORK hard, spend MONEY & not annoy ebay/paypal.

Taking cheap short cuts do not work.

You start giving ebay phake numbers just to save a few dollars, ebay will not think you are trustworthy.

I had one account to TRS without worrying about tracking numbers so perhaps you are not approaching this well.

Just have to up volume and lower disputes.

not sure how did you manage to get TRS for ebay.com ? can you provide some details?

when you go to your seller dashboard.. and click THE US FLAG.. THEN check TOP RATED conditions..
there is at the top info: min 90% of shipments need to have a tracking number. This is the basic requirment for TRS on ebay.com ..

Guys.. its not about increasing sales or having good feedbacks..these conditions are already fulfilled.. now its all about silly TRACKING numbers they want for ebay.com - min. 90% to get TRS..
