L angley UK Customs Experiences?
 

Had several parcels shipped to me from China via ChinaPost / Airmail (or whatever it is called) some of my parcels have arrived and others are still in customs after 13 days.

I am interested in other peoples experiences with Heathro w customs and how likely it is that I will get my items?

Tracking states that they are all there, one of them is now being processed with royal mail after 12 days and previously my other parcels got through customs within a day!

I already expect the worse however after endless googling and reading through 100's of posts on here I am intrigued as to how they work and what the 'average' time in customs is.

No real average time in my experience.

Had some clear quickly

One took 7 months.

Still no parcels! 2 have been in customs 15 days today although one of those says it is currently processing through our system on the royal mail website.

I had to pick up a small parcel from the post depot today and I know the guy who works there (friends dad) He said he saw a parcel for me either today or yesterday as when he was wheeling them in it was directly in is face, he described the parcel and yes it was in fact one of the ones I am waiting for. Now im starting to think that the problem is not actually with customs :confused:

Even that parcel has not arrived today?! I became a member on the royal mail website and it seems as though it is common for china post / hong kong post to spend ages in the UK before being delivered.

I am unsure whether to put in a refund request with Dh Gate or wait it out!:s

7 months.. oh dear!! Heres hoping mine don't take that long :s

Update:

Had a letter from Heathrow and they are being detained. Its as I expected.

Just tracked my parcel and it says "delivered" handed to customs . Is this a goner ? It's only my 1st order too !! What will happen ? It wasn't massive order 35pair of headphones . Will leave it to the experts ! But any advice about what happens next is most welcome
