Does insurance cover products 'lost' in customs?
 
So of course insurance would cover me if a product was completely lost and unaccounted for. But some customs offices are sketchy. What if tracking shows a package stuck in customs for months, can I get insurance to pay out?

What if tracking shows 'handed over to air carrier' as the last entry months later, will insurance pay for that as well?

it would probably be better to talk to your insurance agent about this. i doubt there is a 'generic' rule for these scenarios

Doesnt matter what tracking says. If the recipient signs an affidavit that they never received it that is good enough.

Canada post experience : Yes it will cover that (has happened)
