Parcelforce- Handed to Customs, EMS-Released from Customs..Please Help!!!!!
 

Hi, im in the UK and im expecting a parcel from China. No problems the past 5 times but this time it seems weird.
Parcelforce status is delivered and Handed to Customs but EMS says released from Customs.
Does that mean its seized or is there still a chance?

In my experience, when it says released from customs it's good to go, should be at your house shortly.

just of the phone to customs and they said theres 100% check on items coming in from china /far east surly that's impossible?

Exactly the same thing for me to mate, it looks like they've clamped down hard. The CV3 4PF Attempted delivery is the customs office, so essentially it's been sent there to be destroyed. Hopefully you haven't got a massive amount in that package, because they'll probably send you a letter saying that the violation is being reported.

Mine have been sitting there since 22nd .

i think this might mean they haven't opened yet yet ? i unfortunately only

found this site after sending by ems quick ship .

will not be doing so again . but theres still hope for me yet with this 1 right

Hahaha you lot make me laugh! You pay a £13.50 processing fee for them to send a letter to you saying you owe customs fees.

You're also trying to work with EMS / Parcelforce? Especially if your importing foo foo you may aswell say goodbye to it.

I can pay for an order, shipped same day, / next morning and be delivered to my door on day 4 with no hassle!

hey this is my first time so itl be once bitten twice shy for me. got my seller sending me more not ems though lol.

What plan of action do you have for when the letters start arriving? Plead ignorance or ignore?

So it was actually some football shirts that weren't actually legit and then i received this letter today, can anyone please advise me on the next step to take?

I got a handbag ceased and they sent a letter saying that I'd been the victim of fraud, and that they wanted me to sign a letter and return it to allow them to destroy it. That's what I did, no problems since, though I'm not touching VeRO again.

It is never worth it or the headache.....just keep away from VERO, all this foo foo. Is it really worth it...i always ship through DHL. Better service, faster, reliable and ofcourse, they are REAL. Knowing this, gives a immense peace.

My advice, just stay away from it all.

im waiting for mine, its been at Coventry for a week now! usually in customs 1-2 days....!!!!

well i got the letter from customs saying my goods had been seized . least it was only £60 quids worth my seller has offered to send again but i didnt think that was fair so told him to send 1 extra with my new order . being sent snail mail i find this the best way to get all my vero through but then again im only ordering 3 items at a time (small fish in big pond)lol .thanks for your help guys

I have looked for years for the items that people say they make a killing on that are non-VERO and guess what?... I am still looking.

Margins are disgusting unless you really know your stuff.

Just got off the phone to UK Border Agency and they confirmed that my package (sent by EMS) has been seized. First time this has happened to me. Hopefully it is the last.

Considering paying the extra shipping costs to go through DHL as everyone UK based ITT has recommended.

Any news mate ?

I think customs in the UK are having a crackdown of some sort, I've had the letter through the post today saying one of my parcels has been seized, another's been sat there since the middle of February and then the delivery to CV so I imagine that'll be the same. Incidentally, was talking to a customer today and he said customs are really cracking down on anything vero at the moment. Whether that's just his opinion or not I don't know but I've never had anything stopped in over two years now so it seemed a little strange. Both were EMS, I've got another parcel that's not cleared customs yet and I'm not feeling very hopeful about it.

Thats bad news, i hope you get it sorted out. So i presume that will also prevent you from bringing more vero through to your address. They must have some kind of address flagging system at customs?

I'm really hoping not, I've got a good few more left to arrive that I ordered after those ones. Got one through today so I'm hoping the rest will. Might have to find a new address to use if I get any more stopped or get out of that game altogether!

In my opinion EMS is the worse way to ship goods from China as uk customs always have a field day with them knowing that it will most likely end in a seizure, good opportunity for them to talk to their superior about that 'pay rise'.

DHL on the other hand mix your shipment with everyone else s & scan the whole lot in the air so when the plane hits the ground they offload the lot from the plane straight onto there DHL vehicle. I know this because I've just spoken to them about a missing package :)

Packages can be seized even through DHL though, right?

I've never had one seized but I've had one sent back to HK once and a package that was opened by customs and retaped closed, but it was delivered to me anyway. No note or anything just customs tape over it

Customs can seize parcels irrespective of what shipping service you use.

Yeah sounds about right. I guess people have had success with DHL though (as have I for the most part)

When customs opens the package and retapes it and still delivers it to me, what does that mean? Just a random check? It arrived a few days later then the rest of the order

Depends what's in the package if its just low value phone accessories they won't even bother to look through it, i.e count up what they see to the paperwork as its not worth there hassle but if they see 100 iPhone replicas or branded clothing they will take interest in it.

well they delivered it instead of seizing or sending it back so i guess it was ok
