EMS Package in customs for 3 Days
 

I know 3 days isn't alot of time but here the thing I split two orders of products. One went into customs on the 3rd and has been there since and the other one came in on yesterday on the 5th. Is there some type of delay going on or has my items been seized one package is small the size of a shoebox and the other is a little bigger but not nothing bigger than we can carry. I have NEVER had this problem before the longest I can remember waiting for customs is like a day or so. Do you think this has anything to do with the new year in China. Seems since all online business in China is shutdown so everyone would be trying to get their last shipments in making a high volume in customs cause a delay... Idk I might just be over worried... Its in Chicago customs btw:juggle:

Chicago is one of the worst from what I have heard. Mine always go through memphis or somewhere in california if fedex dhl or ups. If its EMS it always hits NY and clears within a day. With the way USPS is, theyre probably running behind or slacking. High volume causes delays as well. Ton of packages went out of china at the end of january so they are probably overwhelmed.

They're legit items and nothing branded so I just don't understand whats going on.

With EMS the norm is 10 days wait. They are checking everything that comes in from China by EMS. This has only happened since the Olympics

I heard DHL is worst than EMS ?

Depends on which country you are in.

DHL in the UK is fast at customs clearance and there are few issues.

EMS parcels are handled by Parcelforce in the UK. Let's just say that's where all the fun starts.

EMS parcels going to the US appear to be less problematic than in the UK.

It's a bit of a generalisation as it really all depends on what you're importing, where it's comes from and what has been put on the declaration (value and contents).

2 Parcels handed to China Customs
 

Hi guys got these 2 parcels which are still in China which both say handed to customs, then cleared customs, but now showing handed to customs again??
They are Vero items.
Lucky enough I have contact with my shipping agent, who is saying the usual "don't worry " spiel.
But I have only ever had that sort of message, over here in the UK?? EMS is the carrier.
