China Airmail to Canada
 

Bought from a china seller month ago. I was given a china airmail tracking number RA000000000CN.

Last update shown on china post tracking website shown that the package had been sent out from china since 13th of March. It has been more than 2 weeks now and when I check it on canadapost.ca, I cannot find any information regarding the package.

I fb message canadapost and they told me it is with the custom and they cannot do anything until it is released. However, should not it be shown on canadapost as 'review by custom' rather than no information whatsover?

I am feeling completely insecure since I have no clue where it is now.

Is this common with china airmail? How long does it take to arrive in Canada?

China post is very slow so it may take another week or 2 to get to Canada

Canada Post receives your package within 3-5 days from China. They make it appear on the tracking system that it's still on it's way over here when in fact it's been sitting with Canada Post the entire time...they just take an extra week to move it and update the tracking. Ask your seller to use EMS, it's slightly faster than Airmail but it still goes through Canada Post's system either way

How big is this package you are expecting?

I am not sure how big it is but it is less than 2kg. I tried EMS before, love it. I just decided to try airmail but I do not know it is THIS SLOW!
@mcmx. You said it is with canadapost all this time? Then why dont they distribute it?
I tweet canadapost but they do not reply my tweet at all. My seller sent the package out since 3rd of March, it sat in Guangzhou for a week before it left china. It is a month now and it is still not in Canada.

Well, it has been 3 weeks since it left China, if it is like what you said, I should have been able to trace it on canadapost.ca by now but there is no information of the package at all...

The seller had already informed me that airmail is slow but I had tried EMS before and I figured I should at least try airmail once. She told me I should get it the latest in a month. She sent it off on 3rd of March but they package remained in Guangzhou until 13th. I need the package at the end of April and I told I would have had enough time for it to arrives but it seems it is taking more than a month for it to get to me.

Canadapost wont reply to tweets... as for this, stick with EMS from now on

Be careful of how you get your goodies.

Never rely on sellers nor trust a country's Postal Service.

Sad to say, the time frame is not so long. Sometimes it can take much longer.
