DHL Clearance Processing
 

Hi all,

5 different packages all came in at the same time to the UK at Heathrow.

All say CLEARANCE PROCESSING COMPLETE this morning at 9AM however for all 5 they haven't moved or been scanned at next point yet which would be to go to delivery facility.

Is there only 1 movement with DHL and that's evening / early mornings?

Or should I be worried?

Hi,

Sometimes there is delay, I would check in the morning or there may be a duty or tax to pay. If you put the waybill number in the pay a invoice part of the website it will tell you if you have balance. Hope this helps.

DHL has occasional delays.

Also could be due to festival holiday, I think it was 3 days in china

No worries yet, my shipment to my UK customers via DHL took at most 48 hours.
And yes there's updates in evenings too.

Your packages might have passed the cut off time for the next delivery cycle. Happens in the US too.

It still has just the CUSTOMS PROCESSING COMPLETE scan and nothing since still.

That scan was 8am WEDNESDAY MORNING 11th APRIL.

Can I assume a backlog or something? Reason I'm asking again is it never takes this long to update?

oh wow in April, I would guess that your country customs might be checking it or they scanned it wrong.

Called DHL and their system shows its already been released from customs yesterday.... so I assume it just hasn't been scanned?

Or is the info from DHL not always accurate?

And click on pay duty and tax invoice than type the waybill number

Yes I have and it hasn't got to the depot yet so charges wouldn't be applied.

They told me all 4 boxes are with customs and being inspected. Shame it took 6 DHL staff to tell me that.

Apparently it is with customs still. 4 boxes were held for inspection which if they are will be gone most probably. Received another.

Clearance Processing Complete since yesterday 8am and no scan since.

What update will the online tracking give me if its been seized?

Don't know. Never had it happen before.

IIRC, it will say on the tracking to contact DHL.

Wonder why it said it had been released from customs if it hadn't?

Sorry to hear about shipment, I would be going nuts if it was one, but five. Can I ask how big the shipment boxes were. Also were they sent as gift or invoiced?

Yes vero, lost it I reckon but supplier will re ship.

It was invoices as should everything be if you're shipping internationally.

Only send 1 box per time as multiple boxes attract attention as I found out

Yes mate that's what i thought good idea tell you supplier to send them individually in the future then you should be ok

I went through something like this recently; ordered vero and they seized it, and then customs sent me a letter saying my stuff was seized. I took that whole experience really seriously and especially the letter and I decided not to order any more vero stuff just because customs send the vero company the information that you were buying foo foo vero items from china and they could potentially file a lawsuit against you; I used my home address and my real name is where I screwed up, but I'm sure you get your stuff another way. Also EMS workers are a lot lazier in package checking is what I am told. So maybe use EMS? And keep in mind that your address may be blacklisted or your suppliers address may be blacklisted cause your packages got seized or could be seized this one time. o_o

You have done everything the same as me, get lots of small shipments rather than large ones. You have been unlucky, I would ask what other members say about sending it to the same address, will address be flagged for future shipment....as all your shipment were checked and stopped.
