Customs in other countries
 

All,

I am not sure how true this may be or whether there is any first hand experience available however, with DHL shipments to the UK most of the time they will clear them whilst in transit (in the air) and then place through the scanners at Customs Heathrow or wherever.

Are customs abroad e.g. Spain / Germany etc. more lenient than UK customs? Any experience from anyone?

Just seems that everything that comes into the UK is checked in some way

Everything entering the EU from outside the EU will face similar checks to the UK. I would imagine there will be some countries that won't be quite as thorough as perhaps UK Customs & Excise but it would be a tough call determining which ones.

Are you planning on importing into the UK via another EU country?

Yes had thought about it but didn't know how bulletproof the idea was - lets just say I have spent days and days, possibly months trying to source unbranded products that will give me a good ROI - but cannot find anything. Its a nightmare, volumes that have to be sold to make any money are painful!

I would think it is as risky as importing directly to the UK.

Move to Asia. It is very lenient and sounds like the perfect place for you.
