US CBP Green Tape
 

So I received around 10 boxes From China last month, each weighing around 30-40 pounds, all VERO items.

All went through and got delivered, via Fedex International. But 5 of them were opened and re-sealed with CBP green tape.

I know this indicates inspection. But:
1. 50% of boxes got inspected? Is this usual by you guys' experience? Or is there something off and I am on "suspect" list?
2. When CBP releases inspected package, does this mean they decide the content is legal? Or is it possible that they are playing evil, waiting for me to sign for delivery, accumulating evidence, and taking actions against me later?

I would really appreciate you guys' input!

Customs is cracking down on this stuff. More packages are being seized and inspected. I would try to find something else to sell in the future, if at all possible.

What you are selling may have a high profit margin, but that is because of the risks you take by dealing in these items. It is not recommended.

If you are selling VeRO items and you are asking these questions, it does show you need to do more reading about how Customs works, how they crackdown, what they do, etc.

Thanks, but I searched forum, and found little info about how Customs work... that is why I asked the two questions...

We don't work for Customs, therefore we don't know. Keep importing your items and wait to see what happens.
